We loved the venue, it had everything we were looking for. A beautiful venue, amazing wine, a beautiful place for our bridal party to stay on site for the weekend. Our day was truly beautiful. Jacque and Amanda did wonders to make everything flow, have our decor set up perfectly, communicating/assisting our vendors, and capturing how beautiful our day was.

Early on in the planning we heard a bad review of the catering for Bella Terra and had expressed our concerns with the caterer and vendor. We had also received different quotes/menus from Elegant which made this process confusing. However, Bella Terra handed all of the remaining communication and the final product was excellent.

The only true problem that had with our planning process was the lack of price transparency. The initial quote that we received was a pretty big jump from what the final price. We understand that decisions change through this process and we added/removed some options, but we were set from our first meeting despite our interest in the ceremony on site, open bar, cake cutting, and family style; which was not added in total to our quote until 1 month before. Payments kept getting bigger, estimates were never accurate with # of guests/what should be included vs not. Be sure that you are clear and keeping track of all of the add on's and requesting a updated quote/contract throughout. We did not have a correct estimate/contract until 2 weeks before the wedding... We were told throughout that we make payments on a credit card, but there will be a extra charge. We had used our debit acct for all previous payments but anticipated to make the final payment via credit card. It was a shock to learn that apparently we could not make the final payment via credit card? I asked them about this, if it was a misunderstanding and never had a clear answer as to why. We were lucky enough to be able to pull the final payment via ACH. However, if you do not have the cost of any upcharges in your account I have no idea what you would do. Expect upcharges, the cost per person is reasonable but everything is a la carte.

We did opt for the open bar, which in reality was not necessary. When you host at a vineyard your guests do not think to order liquor unless you have a signature drink.

Our day was truly beautiful and I will never forget it. But the stress and anxiety that built during the planning process could have been avoided if they had more time to iron our organization/ time for communication (they are also a business/restaurant though to just keep in mind). I will always look at our photos and just wish that day was longer. I cannot stop talking about how beautiful that day was, but I think going in and being sure to iron out the few speed bumps we had you will truly have a...

I will leave it to you to decide, I am just sharing our experience. It happens every weekend and we were not the only ones. We watched the owner/manager trying to put out fires hopping from one igloo to the other, offering comps. We made reservations in Oct 2022 for yesterday 2023 January. We rented hotel rooms also nearby. We arrived at 555pm for our 610pm igloo. Seated at 630pm, no problem. Then we're told to place orders right away because the kitchen was slow. So we ordered salads, pita chips, hummus, cheese tray, at 630pm. Food was a no show till 830pm. Yes cheese try and pita chips took 2 hours to get out. The salads were not what menus stated. My friend received a salad with raw cabbage and quinoa....it was supposed to be a squash, sweet potatoe, kale, veggies salad. My steak salad was supposed to be skirt steak. It was cold stakem shavings with exactly 5fries for 16 dollars. Prior to ordering we were told they were out of chicken, sauce for pizza, pita chips, hummus, and a few other things. So most of the menus. But that someone was ten mins out with supplies of sauce and chicken from the store. We were also filled in by others, many customers and staff that this is an always event not one bad night. The pizza margaritas was soggy Flatbread, Tomato paste, 4small one inch pieces of mozzarella. They did try to offer another free igloo another time and took 50% off checks....I would never return even for free. They really need to change the food vendor, and have some lessons on how to run a business. In 20 yrs this is the 1st time I have experienced anything like this. Very poorly run. So sad for the staff there that has to put up with this. The drinks were good, wine was good. We left and went to dinner at sheets, hotdogs and pizza. Sheets had much better...

11/02/2024 Wedding

Bella Terra provided a beautiful wedding for our daughter & son in law!

The venue itself is perfect for an absolutely beautiful intimate & inclusive wedding. The venue's layout provides the ability to have separate areas while still allowing everyone to be together giving our guests a wonderful experience. We lucked out with the daytime weather in early November but as the evening cooled off, they had outdoor patio heaters and the fire pits warming our guests who chose to step outside. The staff was so helpful from beginning to end. From sit-down meetings to phone or email conversations up to the weekend of the wedding and even including the ceremony as the bridal party walked down the aisle, Jacque & Amanda kept us on track. They were professional & courteous while still making us feel like they were personally vested in our day. The staff set up & tore down our decorations exactly as we requested, removing that stress from us. The ceremony under the tree by the pond was a stunning setting, especially with a little bit of fall color still hanging on,. Want something non-traditional? The BT staff easily & willingly adjusted the standard template to suit the newlywed's wishes to make their day uniquely theirs. Our food was delicious & the cookie table was kept fresh & well stocked. The on-site gorgeous home gave the bridal party a place to get ready, relax, grab a bite to eat, sleep, and have some pre and post wedding fun. We had so many compliments about the venue, the food, the fun, and the event as a whole! One man told us it was the best wedding he has been to in 20 years! It was certainly a day this mother of the bride will remember with a huge smile for the rest of my life. Thank you Bella Terra and staff for an absolutely stunning, fun, and...

Bella Terra has established the perfect pairing setting in Bedford also their Hunker Hill location. By combining the old world era of purity of great wine, good food through their attention to detail to service highlighted a little spin of modern day classics. Mastering this feat is no easy task yet they make it look easy. Definitely an ideal tasting room in Bedford area makes you feel you’ve traveled outside the state or went back in time. This little tasting room is local favorite or a hidden secret in an ideal location blessed with country charm character and craftsmanship of their stellar wine collection from their award winning vineyard. Once again in awe of what they created through all their careful selections of menu options. Featuring seasonal favorites freshly made from scratch same with their decadent pastries. Word to the wise you must save room for dessert. Definitely makes you feel that your dinning at home their food is sensational the staff is very hospitable and would recommend it as must stop wither your traveling or adding to your week day calendar make it your new routine new tradition or ideal destination for any occasion. I am sure the word is getting around this is the place to go so don’t miss a chance to be amazed book your reservation now for inside or outside dinning. I am already planning a trip back and anxiously looking forward to returning to Bella Terra tasting room to getaway from reality for a little and enjoy the sweet life thank you to Bella Terra nation LJ & family
