I was told my policy was set. I’d paid. I’d signed what I thought were the required forms. But weeks later, I was hit with a rate increase. Turns out I “missed” a form. So I came in again to sign it.

In person, I found multiple serious mistakes: • My son was listed as the primary driver on my most expensive vehicle—after I explicitly asked that he be excluded from that car. • Coverage options I didn’t agree to were quietly added. • Discounts were removed with no warning, based on missing paperwork I’d never seen.

I was told it was too late to fix the past charges, even though the mistakes were theirs. I was offered nothing. No refund. No apology. Just “we sent the forms four times.”

Let’s talk about those forms: They don’t hand them to you during your visit. They don’t explain what’s critical and what’s optional. They send each form in a separate envelope or junk email, over weeks, with no urgency—then act shocked when one is missed. And every time you miss one, your rate goes up.

When I tried to finalize everything in the office, I was again told, “we’ll send you the rest by mail.” Even after I asked to sign them all right there.

This is not customer service. It’s not a “misunderstanding.” It’s a system designed to catch people slipping, and profit when they do.
