Absolutely beautiful to take walks at, view happy, young T-ball players making their starts to the Big League, pavilions with built in grills, the Imagination Station for children to play, and other amenities to play various sports. However, the only thing I found disappointing was that there used to be a clearing and nature trails you could walk down to get to the Conodoguinent Creek, which was very scenic and you could stand in shallow creek water. It was down a rather steep hill which made it easy to get to, however the walk up was always an aerobic exercise. Sadly, a few years ago I attempted to walk to the clearing, where I knew the two nature trails existed..but there was no clearing..it was all overgrown with brush and foilage like it hadn't been attended to in a while. Just recently, my boyfriend and I went for a lovely walk, on a late 60's early 70's sunny day. We happened to walk near one of the pavilions, where the clearing used to be. And once again, it did not appear to be accessible. It's pretty disappointing to myself and others, who had the privilege of enjoying the nature trails, once...
Read moreI took my 3 year old there for his birthday just to run around and play. Despite it being hot AF, I mean what can you expect it it July, it was a very awesome park for kids around his age, I'd say for kids ages 2-8, this be awesome for them to run around and let some energy out. I do wish it had my benches esp in spots that had shad of some sort cuz it was hot as mentioned and I just had a baby a week ago so more places just to sit and watch my child run around would of been cool so i didn't have to constantly be on the move and/of standing do that I could keep eye on him.
I'd love to go back one day when he's older or even if I had a sitter for there were walking trails and paths id like to explore and check out for I was never at this park itself either . It is a huge park and has Alot of different things, activities, courts, play ground equipment you can check out and get lost doing. If it wasn't so hot and I didn't have a baby a week ago, I would of deff...
Read moreThere are cool events here such as Pumpkin fest and the carnival. It is also a good place for sports such as soccer, football, basketball, and baseball. I live very close to this park so we often bring our dog on walks here and it is a very dog friendly park. At the time of this review the imagination station isn't there and is going to be rebuilt soon. Instead there are two smaller playgrounds in the park that are open at the moment. For those that like to go hiking there is a nature trail that goes down the hill to the creek. There was a new addition to the park across East Penn Drive that can be used for parking. They do have a soccer program here that is called EPLW. Sometimes they have the concession stand open during events and during soccer games. They keep the park very clean and in well shape. Overall I would give this...
