Crescent Park — Attraction in East Providence

I have the great privilege of participating on the board of two organizations that bring creative events to the park every August. EPAC or the East Providence Arts Counsel organizes the Annual Looff Art & Music festival on the second Saturday in August. For 2023 - August 12th. RIFF or the Rhode Island Folk Festival had over 2000 visitors in 2022. This regional Folk and Singer Songwriter Festival has three stages of performances. It takes place on the last Sunday of August. For 2023 - August 27th. The past years reconstruction project of the Park's seawall is nearing completion and should be completed by the August events making visits to the shoreline Beach more accessible. Great place for those who have decided to run again! Twice around the outer perimeter, including the street is one mile. It's hilly and there are usually not many people there, unless an event is occurring. It's peaceful and there always seems to be a police officer present or posted. Let's keep this place ground zero for the older folks...
