Two of the employees seemed so angry, that when they were putting items on the shelves, I thought for sure they would be broken. I had a question, but I did not feel comfortable asking them because they weren't very friendly. After looking through the store, I went to the area where you check out. I am not sure if someone actually thought about what they were doing when they set up the check out lane. They put shelving up to display items to purchase. I think they thought they were doing a good thing, but the aisle is only big enough for 1 cart, not 2. There was another customer who was "browsing" with her cart, in the opposite direction of the line, who was blocking the aisle. I was trying to be polite (thinking she would move out of the way), but she didn't. There was a line forming behind me. Instead of politely asking her to move her cart so that others could get by, she proceeds to call the LAST person in line up to ring them out! I, in the meantime, stuggled to get past the other customer. I got to the register, and she says to me, in a rather curt voice, "I thought you were JUST looking". I let her know that I couldn't get past the lady with the cart. She changed her tune after that. I wish the previous employees were there. They...
Read moreI went to the store this afternoon, I was about to pay when I saw to girls in front of me talking on Spanish. Everything was good until it was their turn to pay, the girls didn’t knew any English but I do, the cashier (a guy with glasses) was really rude with them, and all what I heard was he was him making fun of the girls and saying really disrespectful things about them. The whole time I was only speaking Spanish because I was with my my husband who doesn’t speak any English neither. He thought I wouldn’t understand what he was saying so when it was my turn to pay, he just keep talking disrespectfully about the other girls, my family and I. Then I started talking on English and he and the girl next to him looked surprised. He just continued being rude and disrespectful when I told him I needed a discount because I’m a college student. He took of two of my jackets and I think he did because he tough I switched the tags (obviously I didn’t) and I told him it was good if he couldn’t ring them. It was a...
Read moreThe prices are out of control at this store, even compared to other regional Goodwills (almost all of which are wildly overpriced). I visited within the past week, and they wanted $10.99 for a used high school sweatshirt with a stain. What the heck. Also, they remove all lampshades and charge separate for the lamp and the shade. And the lampshades are on the complete opposite side of the store. How can you even match the lamp to a shade, if you can even afford it after their markup? The book prices have also gone wild recently. I saw a paperback with coffee stains priced $4.99. It wasn't even a bestseller or in-demand author. Not sure who they think is shopping here in this economy!
On the positive side, aside from the lampshade weirdness, this is one of the better organized stores in the area. The employees are always friendly, and the store is...
