Honestly this place was pretty bad. Food was terrible. The only saving grace was the server Lacey. She was awesome and very nice/understanding. Start to finish when there was only two other tables seated in the whole pace. Most employees were sitting down on their phones. Walk in, was greated. Sat down quickly. A different guy came over and dropped the bowl of chips and salsa down without saying anything. Salsa had no flavor. Server came after a good amount of time (like as in not too much/too little) and introduced herself. Very kind and fun. Ordered a queso dip with beef, shrimp, and chicken as an app, the steeler burrito, and a taco salad and two frozen margaritas for main course. Got the queso dip and drinks. Cheese was liquid ,watery, and bland (see pics) . The drinks were great (Lacey, server, made those). No option for salt or sugar on the rim though, it's take it as it comes, one came with sugar the other salt. Customer doesn't pick which, I asked after the fact and server confirmed. Main course came out. Burrito has the watery queso on it and was totally bland. The taco salad was iceburg lettuce, watery beans, and watery unseason beef (see pics). Nothing else. My girlfriend did not eat the taco salad, I can't blaim her, it looked like cat food. The burrito I ate and was ok but still pretty tasteless, I was just hungry. The waitress asked how things were and I casually brought up how the queso was liquid and she did agree and took it back however she was informed this is how it always is. If you've ever been to ANY good Mexican place, you know it's not supposed to be liquid as in watery. Someone did take the taco salad off the bill. But for two frozen margaritas, a burrito, a liquid queso dip the bill was still 43 dollars without tip. The place is also overly loud with the music. In my opinion as a someone whose lived in the area my whole life, save your time and money and go to another place like Patrons as this one won't last long.

My wife and I finally stopped in for eats at the newest Mexican restaurant 1942 Tacos & Tequila located in East Rochester Pennsylvania on Ohio River Boulevard. I can tell you that the food and service was truly awesome. The menu was not over crowded like another Mexican Restaurant and the flavors were BOOM. I had the Pork Tip Carnitas that were so tender and loaded with so much YUM! My wife had the Enchiladas that were stuffed with tender chicken that she could not finish. We were served with the complimentary fresh salsa and chips which was also extremely fresh and tasty. I also splurged and had the Blue Frozen Margarita that was spot on. It's a treat to have a FRESH new restaurant in Beaver County...the atmosphere was authentic, it used to be a Pizza Hut but you wouldn't know from the Day of The Dead decor. If you are looking for a fresh spin on Mexican food and fun make a trip to 1942 your stomach and mind will thank you.

1) Comparable to El paso in terms of menu and portions. 2) More expensive then El paso but I would have to argue that the food is better tasting. I only tried the fajita that has all the different meats. Idk what exactly was the spices but I swear that there was curry in it which I didn't taste at El paso. I got this meal because it is my usual when I go to El paso so I could compare the two. 3) The tortillas were amazing and tasted fresh. If you get what I mean. 4) The atmosphere was pretty good. There was not a dedicated bar area, but there were tall tables that had stools around them next to the tvs. There was music as well. 5) I really like this place for taste and portions. The place was clean and the staff checked on you constantly even when packed. They refilled drinks without you having to ask and always asked how things were. Also we were seated quickly and got menus quick as well.

To walk in door waiter was eating didn't wash his hands no one wad friendly 1 person taking orders 1 person bringinout out food,no smiles not friendly, table wobbled back and forth, there was food and grease all over the menu, I should of left then! The rice you could tell came from a box dry,no flavor, refried beans but was given very little they were the only thing worth eating on the plate but sadly it was mainly covered with lettuce and sour cream, gaucamol might of been good I don't know as it was turning black! The meat for the fajita's tasted liked it was cooked in a burnt cast iron pan very little meat mainly peppers and onions,my friend got the 1942 burrito an hour after my friend was done eating he began vomiting! They are very big on "chorizo" which is a spicy mexican sausage it cheap so I'm assuming they were using it for a filler. If you're looking for friendliness, clean, unflavored food you've found the right place you will find no spice here!Only spice here was the disturbing skeleton artwork on the doors and walls was satanic in my book!! I'll NEVER GO BACK! Save your money go...

It's difficult to find good Mexican food in the area. Decided to give this place a try after driving by and seeing it a couple weeks ago. Inside looks nice and it's clean. Got seated immediately and the server was kind and helpful. I had the Texas Margarita and my wife had the Margarita Flight which serves 4 frozen glasses with whichever flavors you choose. Drinks were good. Couple minor issues with how the food was delivered but the food itself was GOOD! We got the rolls for an appetizer and fajitas for our entree. Shrimp, chicken and veggies were brought out sizzling. Rice and beans were fresh and delicious. Generous portions (especially for the chicken fajitas) and warm fresh tortillas wrapped in aluminum foil. Shredded cheese seems to be shredded in house 👍. Manager came out as we were finishing up and had a lengthy conversation with us. He seemed to care about our feedback and ensuring that we had a pleasurable experience. What this place needs more than anything else is EXPOSURE! So try it out and tell...
