Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe — Restaurant in East Rochester

While I've basically grown up on the hot dog shoppe, I've never had a bad thing to say... until now. Ordered dine in at the Rochester location, food sat on the counter, and as I didn't know which was my order as there were others waiting as well, it sat and was cold when I got it. Okay, ill give you that, hot dogs and fries aren't easy to keep warm if not under a warmer or something. What got me was the hair I found in the chili of my chili dog that was short and curly, as my hair is long and straight. Completely turned off. Told the manager, wasn't expecting any refund or anything. He did say he'd make me another, but I'm not one to play with chance. There was no apology, no emotion, nothing. Literally turned around and walked away when I declined a new order. Aside offering to make a new one, there was zero people skills to the manager and the staff was more worried about horse play. Call this what you will, but I'll be going to beaver or new brighton...

Ordered 40 dollars worth of hot dog shop clearly could afford to go some where else and for future reference I will do. Wrong name on order clearly shows attention to details issues. On top of the receipt that shows and order of a chili cheese bun no Weiner. Ended up with a box with a wiener with chili cheese and no bun hahaha. They have a big banner that is completely a disgusting one and looks like it's been up there a really long time. I asked if they give military discounts and was told no they dont. I told them it wasnt a problem but I asked how they support the the troops and they lady said I dont make the policies and that the banner has been up there forever. So really dont know how that was suppose to answer my question but I will never be doing business with any hot dog shop ever again. And neither will my family. Dont say you support troops and have nothing to give...

Slow and unfriendly staff. Store feels dirty. The young man taking orders just stared at me waiting to take my order. Never asked if he could help me. Never even said a word until he told me my total owed. Won't go back.

I made the mistake of going back last night. Won't do it again. Four employees working in their tiny kitchen, one girl sweeping the floor, one girl wet mopping the floor, one guy taking orders and one girl filling orders. The sweeping and mopping should not have been occurring while cooking food. This should be done after closing. Also, usually they have very good milkshakes, but the one I had last night was as thin as chocolate milk. It's a shame that this place is run so poorly as all the others I have been to...
