Went to the restaurant side last evening 6/26/2021 and a lady gave us menus. Nothing else. There was only 2 other tables occupied and had already been served. We waited 20 minutes and no one ever came back. Being our first time there, I thought you had to order at the window so I walked over and asked, the response was "We will be right over". We waited again and nothing, did not even ask us if we wanted a drink. We went to the lounge side, got served within 2 minutes, bartender Wendy is exceptionaly friendly. The food is the best I have ever had in my 54 years of life. Seriously, we will go back to the lounge to eat. Hands down the best tasting food anywhere in Western Pa. I have edited this review and added 2 stars because the food really is the best. After reading the responses from the owner and my restaurant experience, I will change my mind about returning. The owners comments toward bad reviews is atrocious. Should be taking the bad reviews and apologize and attempt to improve personal experience instead of ranting at potential customers. Last night I had the pleasure of meeting the owners wife and was pleased by her response to our complaints regarding our experience. If your in a public service, you should be polite and accept feedback. Improve instead of flying off the handle. I understand the food service industry is suffering and that alone should be incentive to be hospitable even in the face of bad reviews. Think how much money you could make if you were just receptive to...
Read moreSpent $35 on a underwhelming plate of lamb on the rod. Expectations run high for a plate at that price and I was immediately disappointed when I saw it, at least it tasted good but was extremely overpriced considering what was presented. I felt ripped off as soon as I saw it. You can capitalize TWO SKEWER if you want in your response , that 2nd skewer definitely isn’t worth an extra $15. It would be a stretch to ask $20 for the two skewer plate. The experience was even more shocking when my family finished and had to dump our plates in the trash and place them in a bin. I wouldn’t be as mad if I didn’t tip the staff $10 for nothing and also if I didn’t just watch them take another customers plate after they finished. We were the only other group so it wasn’t that the staff was busy, I just wasn’t worth their time. It’s a shame that I looked forward to trying the place and chose to have birthday dinner there. It’s definitely a one and done experience, I won’t even order catering now. The owners response definitely doesn’t do him any favors, especially the part about “my decisions .” Clearly the most regrettable decision was walking through your door which is a decision I won’t make twice. One star ratings are earned and are given way less than five star ratings whenever people do decide to...
Read moreLet me set the setting for yall here. My wife and I were heading in from out of town to go visit her parents. It is late at night and we were going to have dinner at their house. We are about 30 minutes away and her mom calls to tell her there was a hiccup and we would have to get food out. She asked if we "wanted BBQ from a new place in Rochester". I was literally starving and borderline hangry so I was down for whatever but you also never know with some BBQ joints.
At this point we are only 5 minutes away so we dont bother to call and just walk in. We were met by Antonio in the front who walked us through the menu and was easily able to answer any of our questions.
My wife mentions that she wishes that they had cornbread and we hear a voice from the back say "You should try the Cajun Corn Casserole". The owner (Jeff) pops out from the back and gives us a FULL SERVING as a sample. Y'all, this stuff blew my socks off it was so awesome. We added another order to the order happily.
As Jeff was preparing the takeout, he was showing us the racks of ribs we were getting and they looked amazing! Jeff really went above and beyond in my opinion.
The food was amazing and so was the service, this will for sure be a place we visit when we go back home in the future.
Thanks Jeff...
