Very cool and long covered bridge to stop and see! Located right next to a little outdoor market and food trucks serving donuts and pizza. The historic covered bridge was also set next to a park and spans Doe Creek, making for a beautiful setting and photo opportunities. Parking is limited close to the bridge, but there weren't many people, so there were several spaces available. It's scenic, historic, and free so worth stopping to see if you're in the area.

Very beautiful place. Today I took my 19th year old to go ice skating we were a little bummed to learn once we got there that it wasn't ice at all but rather sheets of plastic. It was a cool concept but we had our hearts set on ice skating. Nevertheless the people were very kind and again the area is so gorgeous. We hung up our skates after 10 mins and went on a beautiful walk along the river at sunset.

This is such a beautiful place and also historical. There is picnic tables plus the bridge that you can walk through and the pretty Doe River cascading over a little dam that goes all the way across the river. They also have festival's and they have a stage up now for their festivals. So pretty neat go check it out sometime.

We went there on Saturday night for the Covered Bridge concert series. The band tonight was From the Edge, a band from Southwest VA. They play mostly pop rock & country. They were good but had to cut short the music due to power issues. This is not the first time this power problem has occurred. Wish the city would fix it since many folks come for the music. The car show downtown is pretty cool and there are lots of places to dine before the music starts at 7. Looking forward to the group on Aug 27 as they are a Journey tribute band and everyone likes Journey music and sitting by the Doe river is always nice listening to good music. The rest of the groups are on the Elizabethton web site if you want to...

The Covered Bridge is is one of my favorite places to go that is a walkable distance from my house. All of downtown Elizabethton is a great place to walk anytime of the year. The Covered Bridge is not open to vehicle traffic but you can walk through this historical bridge. There are ducks, Canada Geese, and a heron can be seen many times at the bottom of the Weir Dam that is downstream. It is a peaceful place to go for families and individuals. In the summer there are concerts every Saturday night of various types of music. There's also linear walking path that goes along the river were you can walk under the elk Avenue Bridge and over to an...
