This park is located right next to a long trail as well as near Whitelock Blvd. The sports fields are closest to the busier Whitelock, while the play structures are tucked back closer to the residential area. This is an older park for West elk Grove, but they try to keep everything working well. The long slide was closed for a few months, and there were holes in the soft ground that they filled in last year. There's a small water area that was not working the last time we were there. 😟
It's great for parties, but you need to stake out the covered area with the tables early because it's first come first serve. I like where the covered area is because you can see the play structures, the fields and the restrooms.
We walk here from the trail with the kids and the dogs. It's a very popular area for dog walking, so keep that in mind if you don't want to be around dogs.
It has a play structure for younger kids...

The button didn’t turn on the water fountain, so more likely the water fountain just might be locked down for some reason, after sitting around a few minutes, I noticed the water display was on and I went of course I checked it out and then I asked around and supposedly you had to hit it really hard slap it. That’s what the lady did and it turned...

Looks like it has or was a water park too. They also have a track area that spans around the whole park with exercise equipment to do other exercises along the route. There is a "rock" area where u can put your feet on them for pressure point exercises, a sign tells you what's what (real interesting, I've never seen this before). They also have a bathroom, large picnic area and...
