Riverside Community Church — Attraction in Elmwood Park

Probably the friendliest EM church in the area and you will most definitely be welcomed. Little older (not a college group!) with average age around 30-40 but still lots of children and youth group students. We are all about families with strong emphasis marriage, parenting (1st English Father School in the East coast!) and mentoring younger couples.

We are also about putting our faith into action by serving the community too. We cook and serve meals to several homeless groups in the area and many families volunteer their time and money on every Thanksgiving Day so that we can serve a Home cooked meal to a local battered women’s group (mom and children) while distributing donated coats and women’s hygiene products.

Passionate and dedicated staff. Lots of small groups to choose from. Church building is owned and is not shared with any other church, which means that fellowship (full lunch every Sunday) is not rushed. Worship style is contemporary...

I give this church a 3 out of 5 because I felt like although I enjoyed the sermon and the congregants, there was so much going on that you had to really focus not to miss things at times even though it is a very low key church, also don't only focus on the junky meat come lunch time and I appreciate the friendliness warmth and honesty yet I just want this church to add more...
