2nd post* 4 stars to 1 ⭐ I made a reservation on Monday night at 630. We arrived earlier 615pm. The bar had maybe 8 people total. All the tables had reserved sign on them. I told them I had reservation for 3. They put us at the smallest table with an extra folding chair on one side. Two regular chairs on the others side. I asked if we could have one of the high tops with three chairs and they said they were reserved. Mind you all but one table was empty. Didn't know we had to reserve a high top or specific table. Should be first come first serve idk. So because we are three adults and my boyfriend is tall he moved his chair to one of the empty sides to fit better. The guy who sat us there and wouldn't let us sit at one of the other reserved tables came back and asked him to move back to the side where his daughter was sitting because the table behind us won't have any room. Said table was empty. So he did. The waiter got our order. I don't know his name because he never told us. We all ordered the happy hour wings. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Go to Wingstop or buffalo wild wings. They were over cooked. Small and flavorless. We got a family salad which was a big pile of iceberg lettuce with couple tomatoes and pickled cauliflower. We told them ranch with wings but they gave us blue cheese. Drinks were good but there's only one way to mess up a Tito's soda. The second waitress was sweet, she introduced herself and said she was taking over for the first guy. Also there was another worker who came on and moved the empty table next two us to give us more space because the people who were there were moved to another table. So nice of them to be so easily accommodated. We never received wet naps even tho all other tables had them. Did I mention my BF and his daughter are black?!? That has to be the reason we were treated so poorly and others were taken so good care of. While we were leaving the guy who sat us walked right by us as we were walking out he said nothing. No thank you for coming. Nothing. He is trash! The three stars(service) is for the bartender/server from my first post..check your tab for all the extra fees they add.
1st post from month ago Stopped in for drinks for a group of 6 that turned into 10. They easily accommodated us with extra chairs. The server was the bartender but he kept the drinks coming. It's a clubby vibe the later it gets the louder the music. That is my only complaint, we could no longer talk as a group because we couldn't...

It is filled with regulars that have clearly become family over the years. The friendliest most attentive staff. The most creative “local bar feel” for decor. Most of the walls are FILLED with Green Bay Packers memorabilia, being that it is a registered Packers bar, but all diff team fans are welcomed with open arms all season long!
THREE outdoor spaces all with TV’s where staff can serve you food and drinks.
Pool table, dart board, DJ’s mixing all diff genres, live bands, karaoke night, trivia night, UFC, wrestling, so many drink specials! I can go on and on. It was hard to keep up so eventually I just started following @blue42bar on instagram bc it’s updated daily on specials and events.
The owner never sits down. You’ll find him helping staff all night and checking in on tables to make sure you come back happy! Super tall guy, Giorgio - can’t miss him. Always smiling and you’ll prob find him in a Packers sweatshirt or Blue42 shirt.
I’ve come to learn that Giorgio comes from a long line of successful business owners (all Italians) so the food is incredible. Homemade pasta sauces, the freshest burgers and sandwiches, and TONS of “bar apps” to choose from. But you MUST try the wings when you go - hands down the best in NJ. Last I heard he was trying to get to 42 sauces and was super close so you are bound to find a flavor you love. My favorite is Doritos or boom-boom.. I dare you to try the Nutella or peanut butter and jelly!!!!
I’ll sum it up like this.. you are bound to leave with a new friend made, a full satisfied tummy, and some really great memories. Thanks to Giorgio, and the whole staff for investing so much time and effort into making this one of the coolest...
Read moreThere’s no better place to watch a game with friends than a local sports bar. Whether it’s baseball, football, soccer, or hockey, they always intensify with the excitement of being surrounded by other fans who are equally as excited and into the game.
They definitely offer a fun atmosphere, great food, and, in some cases, specific team allegiances.
Originally opened in 2014, this popular establishment specialized in Italian cuisine and bar food. Blue 42 Restaurant & Bar, situated on Market Street in Elmwood Park, bleeds green and gold. They invite Green Bay Packers fans to catch every game of the season.
Voted one of the finalists in 2025 Best of Bergen, the star favorite is the wings on the menu, which come with an insane choice of 175 wing sauces and dry rubs, which I came for lunch today as a first-timer.
Upon entering when it just opened inside this cozy and relaxed vibe full of sports memorabilia and TVs, I was greeted by Daniel and got a seat by the bar. Reservation is highly recommended for dinner or on game day due to limited seating.
Besides wings, the menu features an array of appetizers, soups, and salads, each prepared with quality ingredients and flavorful combinations.
I decided on the 8-piece wings with Avocado Ranch and Lemon Pepper.
The wings were bigger and cooked to perfection. They arrived hot, lightly crispy on the outside, and juicy and tender on the inside. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Forget Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop, and you’ll thank me. The service was quick and the staff friendly. The price was reasonable, and the portions were just right.
I can...
