TL; DR - Dishonest business, doesn't appreciate customers, menu pricing is wrong and they offer outdated menus - provided by themselves, of course - as an excuse to consistently overcharge with refusal to refund or coupon. No regard for time-framing on delivery and they don't bother to inform the customer of any of the above.
Ok, so. I work very close to Taste of Italia in a business of over 400 people. Our location orders from them often, as they were a somewhat affordable local delivery spot with decent food, and they would always arrive quick-being 2 minutes down the road. Well let me tell you - we have given these people SO MUCH MONEY and they just DO NOT CARE. Anyway - here are the issues:
The only places to find their menu are a photograph of a zerox copy on their facebook page, or their lo-fi website, which is fine - except that all the prices are wrong on both menus, and not in the customer's favor either. Their facebook page's profile picture is actually an even older & more outdated menu than what's on the website...as if updating facebook isnt the easiest 2 seconds of your life? And they still cant do it? Pretty much everything is $1-$2 more expensive per item; and they will not inform you of this upon ordering. You learn only when it's time to pay; which is usually about $9-$10 more than anticipated - since they also tack on an undisclosed delivery fee. After this had been happening to us for months and we finally noticed, we were told "The prices on the website are old...we're having it updated soon" and that was the explanation as to why they wouldn't refund us the balance...which is what any other business would have done. So that happened MONTHS ago - and guess what? The website still hasn't been updated! I guess that seems fair.
Now today we ordered from them at 10:45am because we needed a quick delivery and they didnt arrive until 11:55am. We were told when we called at 11:50am "We don't start delivering until 11am, I'm coming now" Well thanks Susan, that's information that would have been useful to me AN HOUR AGO - and even then it would have seemed fine because you'll take 15 minutes to make the food (chicken fingers & sandwiches btw; because this is an Italian restaurant that also doesn't serve pizza) and bring it over when it's fresh, at 11am, because it's 11am you're delivering at 11am. But you still somehow arrived at 11:55. And made no apologies.
No matter what the circumstance, you wouldn't have thought to call and let us know? C'mon guys...this is first grade level customer service, and you keep failing. So, so rude. I'm so disappointed. I gave one star for the Tuna sub...it...
