Honestly I feel like for the three years they were working on it, it could be a lot better. There's only one parking lot so the only way to get to the other parts of the park is walking, they had so much room to do stuff with (which they were supposed to add more) and I feel like they just let it go to waste instead. If they did everything they said they were going to it would have been better, but we talked to the park rangers and they're completely done with the park and not doing any more. They added a tiny rock climbing wall to the other part of the park which I thought would be cool, but it's very unsafe. Said it was for children 5-12 and honestly I would not trust my 5 year old to climb that. I climbed it and it was a little sketchy even to me with how narrow some of the rocks are to step on the way up and no handles. I did like the little music things they added to the main part of the park and the mini waterfall and adult and baby swing they put in, but I'm not so impressed with the rest. They had a lot they could have done there and it really...
Read moreI wish i could give this park 2 separate reviews, but that would be silly. The park itself along with the children's playground were excellent. Easily 5 stars. All the equipment was well maintained and special "flooring" was installed for safety. I felt like my daughter could play to her hearts content and i didn't have to worry. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The pavilion looked very new and very well constructed, but this is where the park loses 2 stars. You have to pay to reserve the pavilion, which is fine. The problem is that there were 3 massive wasp nests in that pavilion. And everyone spent the majority of a kids birthday party fending them off. Couldn't look away from an open beverage. Had to defend the food like it was the apocalypse. You would think woth the money made from the pavilion, they could at least keep it bee free. Not put people's lives in danger. We had several people there that had severe allergies to them, including my wife. If they were more proactive on this account, then the park would deserve a full 5...
Read moreI drive more than a half an hour to get to this Jew el of a fun park. I love hiking and having all of the amenities for family style fun. It is so clean and updated so nicely by the city. In the summertime is the best because you can bring the kids to go on the playground equipment and have fun on the splash pad and then go for a nature hike into the beautiful woods and walk along the waters edge until you reach your final destination of the falls. I've seen people jump off of the cliffs but I don't think I could do it myself. The bathrooms are open to the public and there is ample seating in the covered picnic area big enough for parties. There's even a hill for sledding in the winter. I recommend this place to everyone. PS if you find the Easter eggs that we planted today good for you! I hope you enjoyed the little toys...
