Cakes Candy & Flowers — Restaurant in Elyria

The only and I mean ONLY reason this company is getting one star is so I could write this review. First of all let me state that every item that Kitty supplied for my sisters wedding was filthy. Huge stains all over the table cloths and even stains on the table runners. The dishes were disgusting, dried crusty food on plates, god knows what stuck to almost every single wine glass, some of the silverware was even rusted, so much so I had to repeatedly remove them from the tables as WE the bridal party set the tables that her staff was supposed to do. Kitty was so unorganized it was unreal. She even tried to set tables with mismatched glasses, wine, champange, and some other kind just randomly scattered all over the tables. We were told and it's stated in the contract that we were allowed to come in the night before to set up the decorations and then when the time came she acted as though we were insane for thinking we could do this. She tried to tell us that we had to come in at 11:00am the day of the wedding. (Honestly who has time to set up an entire reception hall at 11:00am when the wedding started at 3:00pm) She did nothing but make rude comments about every person involved in the wedding. She even had the nerve to call and request to speak to the bride at the end of the night and make derogatory comments and threaten to call the police and press charges on my sister(the bride). Which she did call the police and proceeded to lie and say there were multiple fist fights happening and they needed to intervene. Which mind you I spoke with the officer that arrived and he even stated to me that everything was fine in his eyes. Even the male bartender said that we were all great and created no issues and went and spoke the officer and backed us up. The female bartender even called my sister a b** after she got off the phone, to the groom! The bouquets that Kitty made wilted before we even got to the reception. The cake was sinking inwards and did not meet the quality of what they were promised. If it wasn't for the beautiful decorations that my sister's now mother-in-law made for this wedding and the low lighting it would have looked like a trash wedding. As a wedding planner Kitty had absolutely no idea what was going on and acted as though she had never done this before. My sister's mother-in-law had more of a sense on how to set everything up than Kitty did! I would never recommend Cake, Candy, and Flowers to anyone for any reason whatsoever. And I highly recommend that the Knights of Columbus Hall in Avon, OH cut ties with her if they want to have a name for themselves considering that the hall is under new ownership. Sincerely, One pissed off...

STAY FAR AWAY FROM KITTY AND THIS PLACE!!!!! She will ruin all your events!!!!! She is so unorganized AND GETS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CORRECT! Furthermore she called me numerous times to confirm decor for another bride completely messing up and mixing our designs!! She didn’t get my cake flavors correct nor my cake design. She ruined my bouquet and my candles. She couldn’t even follow the picture correctly. She didnt add diamonds to my candles like i requested. I wanted a smooth cake she ruined that too and you could see some parts of the chocolate cake because she missed areas for the cream. She made me 2 wrong flavors on the cake. She didnt add gold runners on the tables and the centerpieces were all dirty. There were no flowers around the arc in the entrance or a runner when we walk in. The halo stage had no flowers raining down. The corsages we ordered was suppose to be red roses, she gave us white roses. And they all broke and fell apart for poor assembly. My husband was suppose to have a white flower for his tux, it was missing. She sent me 2 bouquets to choose from because she messed up so much. She was suppose to finish these days prior so we can review them and she didn’t, we received everything the night before the wedding or the day of. Also, when confronted her about this she kept saying our wedding is not until “sunday”, MY WEDDING WAS ON SATURDAY!!!! And when she was confronted about her poor and disgusting job, she kept saying we changed the designs days prior, which was a complete lie. She ruined everything and did a terrible job. Im disgusted by her and her work. DO NOT COME HERE FOR YOUR OWN MONEY AND PIECE OF MIND STAY FAR AWAY!!!!! Shes a crook and thief. She ruined every single thing for our wedding. She got absolutely nothing correct. 0/10 would NEVER...

If I could give them 5 negative stars I would! The customer service & unprofessionalism from Kitty the owner was beyond horrible. I placed an order the day before to have balloons & cupcakes delivered to my grandson for his 1st birthday. I was asked what time I would like them delivered I requested early in the morning. I was told I would get a call back with the total, which I didn't! The next day@ 10:00 am I called to confirm my total & the delivery. I was told that order was being prepared & will be going out shortly. I called back at 12:30pm & was told that they were waiting on a helium tank & the order would be going out in 30mins at 3:30pm I called back again & was told they were still waiting for the helium tank. I asked why wasn't I notified & the nasty reply was "they don't guarantee when the delivery will go out" it's 3:30pm & you close at 4pm when was the delivery going to get there on his 2nd birthday?? Not one time did I receive an apology. NO WORRIES!! You may not go under, but you'll NEVER GET ANOTHER $$ OUT OF Me, and this is coming from a loyal customer since 1992 that no longer lives in Elyria but still chooses to support her...
