Lake Francis City Park — Attraction in Elysian

A nice little park with a decently sized beach, picnic shelter, playground and washrooms. There are beach volleyball courts lined (but not groomed when we were there) as well as a large picnic pavilion (for rent, I imagine). The washrooms were clean and inviting and had 2 water fountains with great water pressure on the outside wall. We had a great time in the water, in the sand and at the playground. Residents are super-friendly and my wife and daughter struck up a conversation with someone who lived close by. Swim area is enclosed with buoys and a rope. There are no lifeguards...

Cool little park. Love having the shelter at the far end of the baseball fields. The swimming area has fence on the shoreline to keep the bird droppings out and it seems to work. The ball park looked nice and the facilities around the park were decent. The beach was a bit rough and scattered with "natural fertilizer". Roped off swim area was adequate but unfortunately quiet a bit of algae for a busy weekend. This is our second visit and given the ice cream up the street no doubt a local favorite. Great...
