Scoops — Restaurant in Elysian

Stumbled across this place on a ride along the Sakatah Singing Hills bike trail. It is my kind of shop. A) I love ice cream. B) I love biking (they do rentals). C) I love kayaking (rent those also). D) I love ice cream.

It was clear upon entering that the owners were hands on. Super friendly folks with small town service and small town prices.

Had just finished a fairly lengthy ride so I treated myself to a very generous 3-scoop medium waffle cone and a hot dog with mustard and kraut (don’t judge). Suffice it to say both were amazing!

SCOOPS is a quaint family run coffee and ice cream shop. I was sent on a coffee run near where my daughter's wedding venue was held. The shop owner filled me in on a bit of welcomed information. 😊 I explained to him that some of the wedding party were staying in hotels in Rochester, Minnesota. He shared with me that there are some cabin rentals (longer stay options) available on a lake nearby. I took a brochure and shared it with the rest of the wedding party. I hope it drums up some business for that...

Wonderful shop that offers great ice cream flavors in a very cute vintage environment. It's located next to the Singing Hills bike trail, as well as close proximity to a few lakes. They rent both bikes and kayaks for visitors. Nice seating areas outside as well as some indoor seating. The owners are very engaging and open kind people.
