Went here for the holiday lights and was not disappointed. Parking is in multiple parking lots and it’s not super organized. They have different accesses to points to the trail. As an example we were in the yellow parking lot so we made sure we entered an exit when you see the yellow trail sign. You must pay to park, but you do it in advance and they scan your parking permit when you get there. They say if you don’t have a parking permit you can’t get in so I asked what if I lived across the street and didn’t have to park, i was told you have to show ID that you live across the street and then you can get in. We got married in this botanical garden and so it holds dear to us so we always try to go tothe seasonal show. There are plenty of places to sit down as you’re gonna walk at least a half a mile to a mile as you see the different exhibits. There are places to sit along the way as well as as restrooms and a bar that sells $15 premium wines and beer. Remember to dress warm and bring your camera. If you get hung up in a lot of people walking on the trail feel free to step aside and let them pass and wait for an open area with no people. Check out all the pictures and see all the different things that we saw really recommend seeing this light show as it is truly amazing with all the large botanicals

What a gorgeous space to explore. It goes on and on for miles. With hidden entryway to more unexplored areas. It has beautiful greenery and a lovely dome area for parties and functions. I would highly recommend this to anyone. And they have special discounts for certain people. Don't hesitate to look into it if you're in the area.

Lightscape at San Diego botanical gardens. A must see for all - the walk itself is about a mile and the whole places is decked out with lights - very very kid friendly.

San Diego Botanical Gardens is a lovely botanical garden. It has a varied elevation, so there are some stairs. Be sure to get yourself to the observation tower for a beautiful view of the surrounding area. There is a play area for children, snack bar and restrooms. Becoming a member means a reciprical agreement to various other botanical gardens. Most importantly, you will have a lovely walk through a beautiful botanical garden. Set aside at least one hour for...
