Pros: Very lovely selection of beads, including some high-quality precious and semiprecious stones and gems. The store is organized in a way that is very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for.
Cons: This was the most unpleasant small business shopping experience that I've had in a long time. The clerk/owner at the register seemed nice to the other people checking out, but she watched me the entire time like she thought I was trying to steal. I've been a bead collector for almost my entire life and so I've shopped in many a bead store along the eastern US, and I get it, they have really nice things here and I'm sure shoplifting is a problem for a small store like this--but it's insulting as a customer when I'm about to head to look at items near the back of the store and she asks if I want to leave the items I'm holding up at the register with her--the findings I had in my hand were $1 a pack. Seriously? She made me feel incredibly unwelcome, unvalued, and disrespected as a customer from the time I walked in.
I don't recommend this store at all based on the overall vibe. If you're looking for good quality beads and a really great experience, drive up a little bit of ways to Bead Bush Studio in...
Read moreThe photo that they are using for their website banner was NOT taken by them. It was in fact taken at a different store, by ME. I have the original photo and I still happen to have the exact Kazuri beads that appear in this photo. How do I know? I have those beads in a drawer. They are factory seconds, so basically unique. My unique beads were a gift from the executive director of a non-profit that used to travel to Africa and purchase the factory seconds directly from Kazuri. The Kazuri beads that the actual reps sell to the shops are perfect, not like this pile of beads. Also, I have the original file of this photo taken by my Canon Rebel camera and screenshots of when and where this intellectual property was taken. Shame on them for using a photo owned by another store! I hope that after reading this they will take it down and use their own photos. Then, I will remove...
Read moreThe store was beautiful, clean and bright. The woman Deb, was very rude, had a scowl on her face the whole time we were in there and very impatient. When I asked her to help me with a small project, she yelled at me the whole time, treated me as if I was stupid, and became aggravated instatntly. My friend was horrified as to how she treated me. I pointed out to Deb that had no patience which made her lower her voice a bit. Another customer in the store who spent $190 waited outside to say she was sorry for how I was treated. Deb, if you dont like people, maybe you shouldn’t be working with the public. You are stoic, rude, and Obviously not happy with your line of work. To the owners, Neil and wife, I realize how hard it is to find help these days however having Deb in your store is not a welcoming experience. Your store is beautiful despite the horrible...
