Creative Community Space — Attraction in Epping

What an amazing community Vandy has built here! I go to the open art nights every Tuesday evening, and I love every minute of it. It's hard for me to want to go home at the end of the night because I'm having so much fun! We do different craft projects each week from painting, collage, ceramics, print making, and more. I'm always learning something, mostly that I CAN make beautiful art!

Beyond open art, there are kids art camps, after school art groups, and classes for both kids and adults. I've done some of the classes like Soul Collage and have really enjoyed them.

The regulars of open art night have become good friends, and this little community of creating has been such a wonderful respite for my tired soul. As Vandy likes to remind me, adults need art as much as kids. Playing with new mediums/skills/ideas without expectation of a master piece is what leads to masterpieces.

As I watched my neighbors house transform into the purple castle, as my granddaughter calls it, it has been such a pleasure. The home was revived beautifully into a fantastic community based business. My granddaughter absolutely loves the art classes and she has been going since she was old enough. Vandy is soo good with the kids and inspires them to do their artwork without “ rules” . They have art shows that all kids may participate in and submit their work. It is something I am so happy we have now. The art class evening groups for adults has been great fun as well. I made my first bowl from clay and after she put it through the kiln I glazed and was soooo happy that I made a second bowl.
