We took our 7½ and 9 year old last night (Feb 24th) to play at deep blue for her birthday trip. (We did not have a party there just took our 2 kids on an outing) we arrived about 5pm and they went straight to the climbing section and was told they only had bracelets left for the last climb at 630 which was 1 ½ hr away. We said ok took them and waited since that literally was the reason she wanted to go there was to climb. Finally their time was ready and the workers had forgot to set the clock for the group before them and that group ended up going an extra 10 min. Which was fine, until we realized our 2 would not be making up their 10 min loss, so they got a shortened time. They had way more bracelets than normal it seemed like in the last group, so too many kids were in line waiting to climb. The employees who where helping them hook and unhook, all but 1, were not doing much to help and move the lines along like they normally do. So not only did they get 10 min less time my 2 waited 1 ½ hr to climb to only be allowed to climb 1 thing!! 1!! We also drove 1 ½ hr from Illinois just to come and climb and after paying $18 a kid to do so we definitely did NOT get $36 worth of climbing.. that is completely unacceptable to only get 1 climb and then be told get out of line time is up. It's not their fault the employees forgot to set the previous timer and they lost 10 min of climbing and then employees who were ready to close up were less than enthusiastic to help all the kids climb. My 9 year old left in tears because of it, she talked about going there all week for her birthday only to get to climb 1 thing. Unacceptable. I'm sure you do not refund but if so one would definitely be warranted. I never leave negative reviews but seeing how this was my 9 year old daughters birthday trip I feel it was needed as the experience ruined her birthday trip she picked. I tried to send a message privately thru the company website but it...
Read moreEdit: we came back this summer and they’ve updated the toddler area and allow parents to assist children. We will be returning!
Original: This place has so much potential. I’m giving it a three because it’s not that it doesn’t accommodate certain ages but it does not accommodate three and under or children on the spectrum. It’s 95* out and we are on day four of being pent up in our house with a 23 month old. We thought okay he loves climbing and what better place to climb than a padded play place. He loved it, absolutely loved it. It’s convenient for us since we live on the east side of Evansville, and he can get all of his energy out safely. So why am I giving it a three? Well because he’s 23 months and there are kids allowed up to 12 to play in the same area as him so I thought okay that’s fine I’ll just help him through it. Nope, parents only allowed on ground floor. And that would be okay if there were things on the ground floor for toddlers beside one pirate ship with a single slide and a maze. The ball pit wasn’t even available today. Now for those who say okay just keep them on the ground floor, you’ve obviously never had a toddler because trying to keep them from climbing up to the next level for 45 minutes is like wrestling an alligator. Like seriously? Just let them watch other kids go but say no to someone who doesn’t understand logic and their favorite thing to do it climb? Again, I think when he’s older this place will be great if it stays open long enough. The pirate ship area should have a mini climbing area for three and under. It could have two levels with a longer slide and places to climb because they like to climb too. I’ve seen so many reviews about this but no response from the company. I guess we will just keep making the drive to polka dots for the next two years so he can climb safely without being...
Read moreMy daughter and her friends had a blast for her 9th birthday. Here were my problems. I was not greeted by a host for the party. I ran into a staff on the stairs, and asked who do I need to speak to. She asked me were we ready for pizzas now or to play. Of course the kids wanted to play. Drinks were in the room in the pitchers with ice when I arrived at 6:45, so the drinks were water downed(no biggie the kids didn’t care). Now mind you, I was asked about the setup days prior to the party, was told it would be setup with table setting for 18 kids. The tables were not setup except for table covers. 7:45, same lady that I ran into comes up to me and asked was we ready for pizzas, I was like yes, go ahead and put them in. She states, they are already ready, they have been on warmers. So needles to say, the pizza was like warm and hard. Birthday girl was disappointed about the pizza. Now I had extra kids show up, no biggie I paid for them. So if I paid wouldn’t that mean I get extra cups and plates etc.? Well no, I had to pay for extra cups, and purchase a new pizza. Now the plates originally given were for pizza, I had to purchase plates for cake, which was ten dollars and some change. Once you book the party, you pay a deposit, then two days later you are expected to pay the remaining balance. I recommend that you bring your own plates and silverware, expect to host your own party(because usually parents book parties at these types of places, so they don’t have to worry), I spent over $400 at this place for a party, and was not happy. Yes I spoke with someone at the end, but was told the hosts only brings, refills(for which I had to keep asking for, and the last two, I was made to pay for) brings out the pizza, and that’s about it. Will visit, yes my daughter loved it, but will never ever have...
