Culver’s — Restaurant in Evansville

As a former employee my opinion is biased but I eat here regularly especially since it's close to my current job. In my personal opinion I feel like the standard has dropped a tad, maybe more relaxed, I don't know, but most of the long standing employees have great service skills even on their off days where staff seems aloof of what is happening around them. The food is usually good but there is always something missing or wrong with my orders lately. For example, I don't think the chicken for my salad should have a beef undertone with bits of burger meat in it. 🤣 That is just one example.

Other than that the service is usually good with a welcoming atmosphere and the employees get excited about new product and sharing it with guests. Even I was sharing it with my new coworkers to send them over for a bite. It's good product especially for the price. 100% a cut above most fast food restaurants as it truly is a freshly made to order product.

As I stated it's usually not too bad but the attention to detail is slipping. In a sense I do feel guilty about this review but I want them to do better and the current direction makes me eat there...

Culvers is a top of the line fast food restaurant. Culvers has drive thru service, out side seating, weater permitting, and dine in. Casual dress come as you are. The dine in option you place your order at the counter. After completeing the order you will recieve a number to place on your table, self seating, and a cup to fill your own drink of choice at the fountain. The server will bring your food to the table. Culvers offers a diverse menu so everone in your party can find something they would enjoy eating. Dinners are avaiable, butter burgers dressed the way you like them, fish, chicken, tenderloins, pot roast, and frozen custards and more. The food is delicous. Friendly staff. Culvers is known for the butter burgers and frozen custards. People drive from outside of the area to eat at Culvers . Ive' tried most of the items on the menu. I'm always very satisfied with the selection...

Up date: My wife and I love Culver's, but we never tried their fish sandwich, so we thought we would get a fish basket. That was a mistake. Their fish is mushy and not any flavor. The batter is mushy, and the sandwiche is hard to eat. It wants to fall apart, and stuff flies everywhere. We had to take the bun off and try to eat the fish, and it wasn't good at all. I don't know what they were thinking. Did not enjoy it, but we'll be back for their burgers. My wife and I both had cheeseburgers and fries, it was all good, no complaints about anything, the service was good and friendly, the restaurant was clean. I would recommend this place if looking for a good burger. I'm not crazy about their shakes and ice cream, it's just too smooth for me, too silky, so I guess I like a little grit in my ice cream, anyway, check it out if you're looking for a good place to eat...
