Everglades Area Welcome Center — Attraction in Everglades City

Everglades city is a very friendly place to visit. I stopped at the visitor center first. Marya gave me the low down on this quiet little city. Check out the paintings by locals. They have an historic district which is worth checking out. You can actually walk the historic district. Every building has a story board with its history. If you need a hotel room better book early. I could write a ton of stuff here about what I saw in this city but better for you to check out on your own. There was even a movie filmed here...

Tried to go here on 3 different occasions over a 3 year period during their alleged opening days and times. Closed every time despite their sign on the front door and web site both stating the operating hours. Disappointing to...

The cafe on the rear of the visitor center is amazing! Great coffee and delicious sandwiches and snacks! Definitely worth it. I would be back if it weren't a long drive...
