My family and I received a terrible and an embarrassed service yesterday at this establishment. It all started with the person that was taking the orders she was clearly filling the position for someone or in self training because she made several mistakes and someone of them involving safety and health.I asked about an specific plate a very simple question like how many sides were included with the plate and her reply was yes and I asked again the same question and her reply was a list of 4 or 5 sides I was simply asking (how many sides were included with the plate) well we move on with order to make the story short the order came incorrectly with (2) plates. We asked for a pitcher of iced water and the pitcher came with water and no ice (No glass to pour the water either)..One of the salad plates came dirty with some kind of dust and my friend simply asked her to replace that salad plate her reaction was to used a dirty rags that she had on her to clean the plate in front of our eyes on the table we told her that we will not want that plate to bring us a new one and she left with the plate and never came back with the new one.The steaks came overcooked she was mixing up the plates. When we asked for a the dessert she didn't even knew.We asked her if they had draft beers and again she didn't knew what a draft beer was either.I asked for a manager and she said that was not available. We were sitting on our tables waiting on the check for several minutes and nothing the waiter came with an attitude to tell us that the check was at front...Hello we don't work here we didn't knew that the check was at front. Here is the worse part of our experience. When the time to pay came we went to the cashier we gave her the credit card and of course we decided not to tip for the service because it was beyond terrible and even though the tipping culture is confused lately the good service gets rewarded with the tip a tip is not a fee.Well that cashier girl was the iccing on the cake she asked me why I was not tipping and I simply politely went the extra mile and I gave her a breve explanation and she was escalating the situation and her tone of voice disrespecting me in front of my family and other employees and customers making a real scene calling me stupid telling me that if she didn't had money to tip she was not going out to eat.She called several coworkers from the kitchen and other areas stopping the entire duties of the employees making other patrons to wait for the services to make an scene in front of other customers..She is definitely a terrible influence for that place.I visited this place easily over 50 times in the past and I don't know if it is a new owner or new management but it is not the same place by far.I spoke with the General manager this morning and she stated that the front disrespectful and verbally aggressive girl displays that verbal abuse calling clients stupid and only knows what others names with the purpose of demanding tips from patrons all the time.If no immediate actions are taking about this issue with this girl's aggressive behavior I can see her attacking a customer one day to makes possible hers demands.

I hope they can rescue this old times amazing place so we can return and enjoy their food and the customer service...

I went here based on the recommendation of staff at Everglades Gulf Coast Boat Tours, and because it was easy to find off the main road (a plus when cell service is spotty). This casual joint has clear connections to the local community and didn't feel touristy at all. The wall when you enter is covered with pictures of residents and grad announcements, and a news article about a recent Everglades City School graduate was tacked up beside the cash register. You seat yourself, but are waited on by staff before paying at the counter. I bought their local newsletter for $0.25, a real bargain to get a peak into local life in this small town. The place was packed on a Sunday night, with families, teenagers, and a group of burly bearded men drinking beer and eating pizza.

The waitress immediately brought me a full glass of ice water, and a pitcher of water in case I wanted to refill myself. I know it's a small thing, but this was some of the best water I had in all of South Florida! I made sure to fill both water bottles up. They offer a variety of nicer sea food entrees, along with cheaper sandwiches, pizzas, and burgers. I was intrigued by the gator bites, but ended up getting the grouper sandwich. It arrived hot and delicious, just how I ordered it (no tomatoes and grilled onions, with ranch for dipping the fries on the side).

As another added bonus, there was free wifi! I set up my computer to upload pictures off of my camera and browse the internet and no one batted an eye. As I was checking out, the manager asked me about where I was headed and gave me traffic tips about where cops hang out along the Tamiami Trail. Overall, they made me feel right at home! I can see why this place stays busy throughout the...

I will never recommend this place to any one ever again. Been coming here for decades. Since 2010 Tonight I came in after close I didn’t know maybe next time put a sign up or how bout don’t seat us?. Spent $70 while my buddy is outside on the phone looking for the $20 tip the blond girl starts attacking me saying we shouldn’t come if we can’t afford to tip. Calling us rude . Saying that we are disrespectfu giving me a massive attitude being very disrespectful her self .Never had an experience like that here. Cashier was entitled and rude. I knew he was gonna tip . My waiter was nice but the blond chick needs some Xanax (edit after 13 hours) All I’ve ever gotten here is the cheese burger it’s pretty good too but every time I try something else it’s horrible the gator nuggets or the frog legs took me out this morning I woke up throwing up. This has been by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant. So on top of the fact that we were harassed for just trying to eat by the blond Karen the food in question nearly ended me . Eating here since 2010 but never again !!!!! Next time I’m in town Il just go to the right choice or circle K you don’t get to serve state prison trays and be rude to customers at the same time . Id highly recommend they fire the blond girl before she drives off all the other locals. Also to the blond boss babe if your job doesn’t pay you a livable wage maybe you should find another job and not make it the customers problem? I’m not your employer and a tip is not mandatory. No matter how much my order comes out to .manager should reassign her to dish washer so she can’t interact with the customers. I’m not the first person to...

This is a pretty good place to stop for grub. I’m hopeful my omelette hasn’t gone to the cartoned eggs-but, the flavor this morning wasn’t what I remember from the past. Biscuits were still buttery fluff and tasty and those tats or nuggets still cooked crisp! Rachel is as bubbly as ever-with that “good morning” spirit & we love that smile girl! What would get this favorite of mine more stars? More smiles from the morning waitstaff and more attention to detail and everything in general of the evening younger staff. Goodness, at dinner, I had to tell the young man three times what I wanted on my hamburger and it still arrived without onion and pickles. This is the place to find the locals and some of us that once were locals. Sorry about the bad photos - I was too excited just being there to remember to take good ones. The place was full and I don’t like showing people in my photos without permission. Try it out-you won’t likely regret it! Just be patient. It’s a little slower here which is why I’m here! THIS is THE Everglades’ City!

Delicious food, great service, nice value, and a cool ambiance. As we drove by late afternoon, there were several cases parked out front. We stopped partly because of that. We had the blackened fish basket and the grilled shrimp basket. The blackened fish was awesome and the grilled shrimp was too. The fries were very tasty and crispy. For desert we had the fried key lime pie. Key lime pie filling rolled up in a flour tortilla and fried. It is topped with chocolate topping and whipped cream. It was plenty for two people and exceeded expectations. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She gave great advice on the items on the menu. The restaurant is a microcosm of the small community and it has loads of charm. This was a "glad we went there" place!
