Harbor Freight — Attraction in Ewing Township

Purchased 30" 5 drawer Mechanics Cart. Box it came in looked ok, but the tool cart was damaged. After opening found the top lid & back of chest dented. It would be a very annoying to return this item since I had to un box it to find the damage. So with my hammer, pliers, and rivet gun was able to repair to the locking lid back into operational condition. So be aware of this even if the outside crate looks good on the outside. Now for the challenge of assembling it. Will let you know how that goes. Still hard to believe when buying something new seeing it dented & broken right out of the box.

The hinged top was dented on upper right side, tried to straighten a rivet was broken off in the process. Spring loaded drawer lock jammed & was not able to repair.

Update 8-3-2021: Recent visit to the Ewing store and was greeted nicely by, new to me, employee maybe was a manager? My previous experience months ago was poor simply because of the unprofessional staff but now I see new people and they make a difference. I'm giving it 4 stars for now for their improvements.

Beware Harbor Freight claims there is a coin shortage so when your paying cash they ask you to donate or give up your change to them. Next time I go there I'm bringing my coffee can full of change, I don't care how long it takes them to count it. Harbor Freight offers a large array of tools and equipment at extremely low prices. The selection is overwhelming, and your first trip into a Harbor Freight will probably have you wandering around in a stupor for an hour or so.

That said, the quality of their products is questionable at best. This isn't a dig at their product line, it's just the reality when a company is selling products that are half the cost of their competitors. They might look like the same tools at Home Depot, but they certainly aren't.
