It's just the way it is nowadays that you are not going to get that much bang for your buck compared to the way it was a few decades ago. The casino business was committed to making a very visible effort to make sure that their guests were shown the most care, attention and comfort from the moment they arrived until the end of stay.
Unfortunately the way you are treated at many casinos from Vegas to Native American casinos is not usually a very personalized experience. There is an exception however that I have found .. and that is Pala Casino! The way that Pao Wei has reached out to me and made himself available knowing that my long time Casino Host no longer works there is exceptional. He makes sure that I have the ability to relax for a few days from the time I arrive to check into my room until I leave the property. He makes sure that my added play and my food comps are in order, also notifies me of concerts, tournaments and many of the multiple promos or features currently offered to the different levels of the Pala Privileges Card Holders.......5 Star Host for Pala ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
I would like to add that the last time I was there a couple weeks back, I had a question that I wanted to ask one of the casino hosts because Pao was not on the floor at that time. As luck would have it I met one of the Executive Casino hosts that was working at the Podium in the high limit room. Her name is Rachelle Leto. I had no idea how fortunate I was that she happened to be the one who would assist me. She was very warm, professional, with a down to earth style that would be a great asset to ANY casino in the world. Not only was she very fast to answer my questions about added play, I was extremely impressed with the fact that later she took a moment to personally see that I was settled in and how I was doing. She was so awesome to take the time to check on me. I was on Cloud 9 the rest of my stay due to the way it made me feel... very, very uplifting of an experience because she took the time to do that. That is what I mean about the way casinos used to be with their guests. I have been going to Pala for many years and I always go back there because of these types of experiences I incur on a regular basis. A very special thank you for your assistance Rachelle Leto and for making me feel so good . So the next time you're thinking about going to a casino.. do me a favor, no do Yourself a favor don't waste your time with those buildings full of people that don't treat you anywhere close to the way I've always been treated for years now at Pala Casino and Golf Resort. I would also like you folks to know that the food at Pala is of such a high standard you will wonder why you haven't gone there before. I would also like to mention that the employees at the Pala Café are not your typical restaurant employees.... They All have incredibly nice personalities and go above and beyond the average Hostesses, Waitstaff, and bus person to make sure that their guests are well taken care of making sure they have everything they need . The Chef at the Pala Cafe was so good..... I have never had a Pala Burger in all of the times that I have been dining there and it's a Signature Item at the Cafe. I ordered one with BLUE Cheese and Bacon Rare - Medium.... That is on the rare side of medium if you are interested... I have to mention that the beef they use is of an unusually high quality and I believe that it is 10 ounces, so it's a really large amount of beef. This takes a very experienced chef to get the desired temperature of rare - medium correct for the customer. I was so impressed with the chef's ability, attention to detail and the complete quality of the finished product that I am taking the time to tell you.... I have Never had any thing even close to that in the years I have been eating Hamburgers and I have never given any type of review for a hamburger before.
So Many Reasons...Next time choose Pala Casino & Golf Resort. Sincerely, Michael McKenna Jr....
Read moreWe booked this hotel as my brother had passed away, and we were visiting family in Temecula last week/weekend. Pechanga was sold out (even midweek), and I can see why they have more business. My husband has worked our entire marriage in Hotel Ops/GM/VP capacities for Tribal Casinos, so it really pains me to write this. The stay was average based on room cleanliness, decor, and a great waiter we had the first night; otherwise, I'd say book elsewhere. ||First, it's incredibly odd that you can't book directly online. Being in hotel management myself, that means they are paying an OTA like Expedia a fee for my business, so when I called to get rates, I did NOT expect them to be $300 more for the same dates, same room type, within 10 minutes of checking Expedia had I booked at the hotel over the phone. I obviously booked on Expedia because no one in their right mind is going to pay $300 more to book over the phone. When we checked in, we were asked if we would want daily stay-over service during our stay, to which we said yes. The room was nice and clean. That night we ate at Bar Meets Grill and had a waiter who had been with them for over 15 years. He was wonderful, but unfortunately, I don't remember his name other than he mentioned he had worked in the Reno/Tahoe market prior (he was probably the nicest, most impactful employee we met during our stay). We had surprisingly good pizza there, which I would recommend. ||The next day, we went out for the morning and returned around lunchtime to see the room hadn't been serviced yet. When I inquired at the desk, as I had a 1 pm meeting, I was told we would be getting it tomorrow. I explained that I had been told it was daily, and my husband confirmed that. I was rudely told I could get a restock of towels and that would be it. Again, being in hotel management, I know they are capable of sending housekeeping to service the room, and honestly, I shouldn't have to ask if two of us confirmed that was what we were told. I asked for a supervisor and was told there wasn't one. The thing is, I knew the girl standing next to the clerk who was on the phone was a supervisor, as I had spoken to her earlier in the morning when I asked why the rates were $300 higher when I tried to call (to which she didn't have a good answer). I obviously called the clerk out on that, and suddenly she was available and we would be getting service during our stay.||Here's my issue with the entire stay....It's remote, so you are obviously booking because you either gamble or you are visiting someone local. It's not right off the freeway, and you have to want to travel a windy road to get to it. We booked because we had local family, were aware of the road, and wanted to gamble when not with family. They could have easily converted our business so we would book in the future. No one made any contact with us despite registering for cards and letting the desk know we were visiting from out of state due to a death and that we typically play in Oklahoma. No one went above and beyond other except the waiter in service. The front desk clearly doesn't know what to do or how to act if you aren't in on a comp, which is probably why their occupancy is so low on the mid-week, and Pechanga was sold out. They are certainly making their money off the locals and the comp/gaming business because they seem to care less about anyone else, and that's unfortunate. We had decent play, but it's clear they probably need to reevaluate their hotel...
Read moreI did a 30 day analysis on Pala and I have to say I was not impressed. It’s an old school casino. Every machine doesn’t work properly. As a new member the promise to do a tournament within the scope of July to August was a total flop. I received my membership on July 5th but their tournament machines were down until after the 14th. I kept complaining and I said my card never works on the machines properly. This was a benefit that was not fulfilled and I think it’s wrong. I told customer service and they said there is nothing they can do about it. The reality here is if your card doesn’t work and the machine to accept it then there’s a far deeper issue with casino and it’s clear they need to be accountable. How does any player who is a member actually get the benefits they are paying for if it’s not accurate on the machines. I can also tell you I analyzed the percentage of winning at the tables too. This was crazy because it’s a very slim window. They say it’s based on luck but if the roulette machines are falling on the same numbers as the table again there is a deeper meaning to this. It’s not based on luck. If I play the pinball machine in the high limit and put in $200 hitting max bet at $10 and the pinball never hits this is a big problem. When it finally hit and it rolling on $25 or $15 this is absolutely ridiculous. Pechanga has a better consistency with machines. I mean give me one line geeze. Not one with $100 in. Whoa. The food was nothing special. Noodles, the cafe and even the drinks served on the floor were average. Let me add this is a smoking casino. It’s also not a very busy hotel. I stayed at the rv resort and it’s quiet and peaceful. It’s in a busy main road which can make you feel trapped if an emergency happens. We had an active shooter at the pala mini mart and the casino had no idea. Power was shut off in the rv resort and helicopters and police everywhere. Rv resort was clean other than the laundromat. Dog hair is hard for me because I’m allergic. It was everywhere. The benefits I accumulated while playing everyday here was $100 for a 5 week span and 4 free nights. I spent about $2000 a night picked up a $20 food credit twice and one $30 food credit. Don’t think their benefits are too great here, but every perception is different. Some employees are really nice and make it personable. It’s just a dark old casino though and it would be great to know they had promises made promises kept. Live bands play every day for the rest of July. This place should take good care of its members so it gets busy. I definitely saw some angry people for many nights I was there. I had some chats and learned that this place needs to have its machines work properly. As well as a faster way to get someone to help if the machine is having problems. If you get free add play it takes forever to get it on the machine. If your card ever works. Hope my review is somewhat helpful. If you’re trying to find any winning days I’d say Monday and fridays, but what do I know. Just pick hours that are earlier or way...
