I recently had the opportunity to visit the Fargo Air Museum in Fargo, North Dakota, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was impressed by the extensive collection of aircraft and the overall atmosphere of the museum.

The museum is home to a wide variety of aircraft, ranging from vintage warplanes to modern civilian jets. The collection is incredibly well-maintained, with each aircraft meticulously restored and displayed with informative plaques detailing their history and significance. Walking through the museum felt like a journey through aviation history, and I was constantly in awe of the craftsmanship and engineering that went into these impressive machines.

One of the standout features of the Fargo Air Museum is the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. They are happy to answer any questions and provide additional information about the aircraft and aviation in general. They also offer guided tours, which I highly recommend taking advantage of, as they provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of the exhibits.

In addition to the aircraft, the museum also boasts a variety of exhibits showcasing aviation artifacts and memorabilia. These exhibits provide further insight into the world of aviation and offer a well-rounded experience for visitors. There is even a flight simulator that allows you to experience the thrill of flying firsthand.

The museum itself is spacious and well-designed, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace. There are plenty of seating areas and interactive displays that engage both adults and children. The museum also hosts various events throughout the year, including aircraft shows and educational programs, which further enhance the overall experience.

In terms of value for money, the Fargo Air Museum is well worth the admission price. The quality and significance of the aircraft on display, combined with the wealth of knowledge provided by the staff, make it a truly enriching experience. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or simply looking for an interesting and educational outing, the Fargo Air Museum is a must-visit destination.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Fargo Air Museum enough. The well-preserved aircraft, knowledgeable staff, engaging exhibits, and overall atmosphere make it a standout attraction in Fargo. Whether you're a longtime aviation fan or just curious about the world of flight, the Fargo Air Museum is sure to leave a...

PATHETIC!! I took my kids to see the Vietnam War exhibit, as they are always asking me about the war. I agreed to take them and show them some of the things that we carried in the bush IF they would leave me alone about that particular time in my life. Just a few of the weapons and different types of ammo, maybe a radio, or a mine or two used by us Army ‘grunts’. I could have put on a better exhibit with a quarter of a ream of computer paper, some printer ink, and a half butt Google search, as that’s about all they had. A bunch of old newspaper articles and some art that was so bad one could barely tell what it was supposed to be of. About the only thing there of interest was a UH-1 Huey (Chopper, Slick, Grunt’s Primer, whatever you want to call it) and you weren’t even allowed to get inside it. On top of all that there was apparently a wedding scheduled for that night and ALL of the boards containing this crap was pushed to the side so that you could barely see the write-ups IF one were so inclined to read them. Eight dollars a head for THIS garbage. Spend it wisely, Fargo Air Museum, it’s the LAST dime of mine that you...

I called yesterday and spoke to a female. I asked her if we were able to pay for the flight simulator without having to pay admission into the museum. Her exact words were "yes of course". She explained that we couldn't come yesterday because a private company was utilizing the sim. We showed up today and were told that we had to pay 40 dollars admission to museum first and then we could pay for the simulator. We explained that we specifically called ahead of time to avoid waisting our day and they couldn't care less.

Terrible way to waste our time. Our 13 year old had his hopes up for a fun experience only to be incredibly disappointed. The museum is small and not worth the admission price. We are from Florida and have been to much better air museums across the nation for half the price and even free of charge

My advice to this business is at minimum train your staff so they don't give out...

A smaller air museum with a handful of planes through they are well cared for and on display. There are some interesting aircraft for any aviation buff including an MQ-1 Predator drone, a 1981 L-39 Albatross trainer, a Cessna L-19 Bird Dog, a Grumman TBF Avenger (with folded wings!), and more. They are spread across two large hangars and I happened to catch a kids outing with several children under the care of one of the volunteers. The museum also includes a large display of memorabilia and mementoes and newspaper cutouts of Fargo history and the service of those from the area. A small gift shop completes the museum. Tip: Check the local sports schedule. When the Fargodome is in use, they're selling parking in the lot here. You'll be on the street a block or four away.

Bought the Groupon and stopped here while on our family road trip this summer. Parking lot has some major potholes so be careful entering and exiting the parking lot. They have two hangers to display the aircraft and other vehicles as well and housing the gift shop area near the entrance. There was a small plane kids could sit in (neither myself nor my wife tried to sit in it so not sure if an adult would fit) and also a section of a helicopter that you could sit in for photos (this one I did sit in). They also have washrooms and the boys received a goody bag when we were leaving. It's not a high tech exhibit and won't "blow you away", but it's fine for the price we paid to spend a little break from our drive from Saint Paul to Bismarck.

Date of Visit: 10/13/2019 - We stopped at the Fargo Air Museum while in Fargo for a wedding. Using the Visit Fargo-Moorhead website, we printed a coupon for a Buy-One-Get-One admission ticket for the museum, so the two of us visited for less than $10. The staff were incredibly friendly, profusely apologizing for the disarray of the building - apparently there had been a wedding there the previous night, so there were some tables still set up, some tote boxes still sitting out, and the wedding arch still intact. The leftover wedding items did not hinder our visit one bit! We definitely would recommend this museum for a cheaper family-friendly tourist attraction.
