Definitely one of the nicer libraries I've been to. This was located near the Farmington high school and town hall. This review is mainly for the children's section. The area was large and it's on the left side when you enter from the main entrance. There were two Librarian who were friendly. My toddler wanted to play with the trains set but you have to get the trains from them. After you're done, just return them to the librarians. They are also participating in the 1000 books before Kindergarten program like Simsbury library is doing. You read to your child and each milestone (ie. 100 books read), you get a free book. I think it's neat that they let you borrow bags of toys. There are computers with educational games for the kids. There is a storytime area that has a painting of a large dragon and puppets to play with. A play kitchen is also available to play with. Overall, a great spot to bring your toddlers and older kids, because there's a tween area too.

This is the one of the most annoying libraries to sit down and study. You never find a quite place to sit down. In the first floor there is always people coming in and talking and children running around because it is near to the help desk and the kid's section.

The worst part if the second floor because you have all the teenager students from the school next door coming in and laughing and speaking loud and noone says nothing to do them. You can hear them all over the place doing nothing but being loud. No staff tells them anything.

The chairs with laptop tables attached are always moved around and never put back. The place is...

I primarily visit the children's library, and can't say enough about how amazing this local library is. Even though-out COVID restrictions, the library staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The selection is great, the play areas that have reopened are wonderful for younger children, the bathrooms are clean, and the friendly staff always find the books we are looking for even when we don't know the title or author. The children are always excited to go and never ready to leave. In addition, the garden outside of the library is a beautiful area to enjoy throughout the...
