I have had charter internet for 3 short months and it sucks. Plain and simple. I work night shift so when I come home my bf and I stay up til about 4 am using wifi for xbox live or netflix. When I called in because they charged me for someone to come out and plug up the piece of crap router for 45 dollars they said they would have to submit a ticket to get it waived that was denied. I wouldnt mind but I specifically told them I would set it up and didnt need a tech to come plug in a few wires that a 5 year old could do. So I paid my bill again with promises of great services and this great deal. My wifi goes out CONSTANTLY when I called in and let them know the rude woman I talked to said "youll have to call us when its happening when youre doing god knows what at 3 or 4 am but were closed then so you cant call until business hours" and then I talked to another guy about it and he said "ohhh no were a 24\7 tech dept. You can call anytime." Well here it is 3:39 am. I cant play a 5 minute game on xbox live because im kicked out every 3 minutes and my wifi shuts off then comes back on and shuts right back off. But when I call every number I could find. I cant get to tech support any type of human thats NOT part of an automated system. Needless to say ill probably be going to att as soon as I get this bill. Read moreWATCH YOUR BILLING STATEMENTS‼️ I called to set up wifi services & their customer service salesman added all kinds of things to my “plan” that I strictly said NO to (hope you enjoyed your commission buddy). I couldn't have been more clear than repeating "I only want the $29.99 wifi services & NOTHING ELSE” but to my surprise my bill was over $70 & it took me talking to MULTIPLE different representatives to get this fixed. I still had to pay for the services I didn’t use as well.
SPECTRUM INTERNET DOES NOT WORK MAJORITY OF THE TIME‼️ I also want to add that you'll be paying for wifi that literally does not work half the time. Constantly dropping!!!!!!!! It is nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone competent enough to help resolve this issue as well. I've been stuck using this trash for 2 years now & I have had to replace my equipment 3 times already & it never fixes the problem. Instead of listening & fixing the issues they just have you take time out of your day to exchange their equipment at one of their locations. I thought it was just me having this issue but do your research & you'll come to find that it is extremely common.

Read moreThe people are friendly enough and I mean its the best internet in the area but its charter, they help you just enough to get your problem half solved and then you have to call the 800 number for them to resolve the rest of the issues. I went to upgrade to the 200mbps modem and they gave me the materials to install but the charter guys who installed my original modem cross threaded the coax cable and it would not come off no matter how many tools I used to unscrew it. They told me then I needed a special tool to take off the coax. I asked them to just send a guy, which they did. After they guy installed the new modem and fixed the cable. After that our internet was slower than ever. Im talking dial up speed. After a week of dealing with it I called and thats when they told us we had to find the new modem on each device in the house and connect them to the 5g speed instead of 2g Simple enough but Im not a tech whiz. Never have been. I wish they would just tell you everything front. Other than the coax cable problem I could have bypassed any issue in an hour if they had just told me all the steps to take. First world problems I know and dont get me wrong the people that work in the actual spectrum building are super nice just please give us all the info we need up...
