Worst school ever! Do not send your child here unless it's the last thing you have left to do. I attended here for one year and said NEVER AGAIN! For one the admissions process is horrific with fees for EVERYTHING! Secondly the financial aid ladies are rude and incompetent. Thirdly the dorms are old as hell and students deserve better! I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. The dorms always have problems with air conditioning and the wifi is a joke. Fourth the maintenance people who come to your dorm to clean DONT CLEAN!!!! They spray some stuff and lift the toilet seat up and walk out. And you saw that I didn't type wipe anything down so it stays dirty! Fifth the cafeteria people have attitudes and act like they can't do anything when they work for the students NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!! There's one guy named johnny that works there who is a manager and he locked me inside of a gate in the grill and nothing was done about it. He was rude and disrespectful then denied it because he's not man enough to admit when he's wrong. Sixth! The police here are good for nothing because if something was to happen the head chief will laugh and say well what did you do to MANY OF THE WOMEN THAT HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HERE AND ONCE AGAIN NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!! I'm a veteran using my GI Bill, (only relevant for the perspective of fellow vets) anyway, the professors are amazing, they really want their students to succeed and will make themselves available to you, they are very understanding, and the way they teach is easy for their students to grasp information. Keep in mind, this is for serious students who show up everyday and act like they in turn want to learn. I've had a great experience my first semester here as far as my courses are concerned. The cafeteria food is good too. Onto the cons: the traffic enforcement ("police") suck. I took a class at the time of day when the parking lots are for the most part vacant, and I received a ticket for parking in the staff section EVEN THOUGH it was an accident (I didn't see the sign) but also that I was literally just ONE parking spot over from the commuting students. Sheesh. Also, the staff do put holds on your account for a lot of little things, I don't get a rude vibe from the staff but they aren't very helpful at resolving your problems, at the very least slow...

I am from Greenville, NC and I attended the "The Annual MLK Day Concert. I attended the MLK about 5 years ago and it was great. I drove 2 hours to attend this year and this time it was horrible. The last time I attended , they had great black speakers and great music. It was packed with our younger blacks and older as well and the black culture was there. Our young blacks kids need to understand what this man has done for America. We should never try to change who we are as people. It is not about whites when it comes to black culture and we should never have to please anyone. We should always be proud who we are. When I walked in and half of the people was old whites and a few of older blacks, I knew it was going to be a long night. It was only about 50 people there. You really missed the boat .
