Never rent spaces from Fayetteville Parks and Recreation. They ruined my baby shower. I paid money to rent one of their buildings and their maintainance team never showed up to let us in. I had elderly guests, catering and myself whom is 8 months pregnant waiting for over an hour in the blazing heat just for no one to even show up to let us in the building. We called multiple numbers and could not get in contact with anyone and received no phone call back. Leading up to the day we were told and gaurunteed someone would be available to let us in. I am completely devasted that my special day was ruined all because someone could not do their job. I would understand if this was a free venue but we paid a lot of money and did not even get to utilize the building. My food ended up spoiling and a lot of money was wasted. I dont want another family having to go through this experience so please, do not book with these people if you are looking to rent out a space, go somewhere more professional. I will never get this day back, and its just so disappointing to have been stood up by...

Alright let's get to this it's a park this much is clear and for some it's probably great no matter your walk of life... sadly its bogged down by people who just frankly want to waste their life and our time, I've been on quite a few occasions the trail is a bit short but that's mostly due to geographic area since it is fayetteville one of the most over developed and populated parts of North Carolina. Sadly that's also its downfall its great for What it offers however just walking the trail you can fill 2-3 trash bags with all the stuff people just toss out and that's not even getting into the bigger items like tires plus it never seems to help every return is basically faced with the same plague of humans scummy behaviors (not to mention the injection needles found along the lake side.... you know whom you are) but all aside from that it's still a nice safe haven for pure and mostly...
Read moreOne of the best parks in Fayetteville. The scenic area is already an experience in and of itself, but the pros stack atop that as there are wide, paved trails for traffic going both directions, and there are trails that cut off into the woods as well.
This is a fantastic place for a run or bike ride because of the wide, paved trail. Walking your dog(s)? Too easy — they’ll love it, too.
There is a well done playground for the kiddos also.
If all this weren’t enough, there is a dock, so you can take a break and watch the water, the geese, and the fishing.
You’ll also see tennis courts to your left when you enter the park and there are more sports courts in construction further...
