Mount Sequoyah is an absolutely beautiful spot when you need a quiet respite. I first learned about this lookout while I was attending the U of A. Everyone spoke about the "cross on the hill overlooking Fayetteville". And though it took a bit to find it (even today I find it by getting on the road across from Papa John's and just keep turning on whichever road goes up). I loved it then and I love it still. The cross is beautiful and at night it is illuminated. It gives perspective when times are tough. The campus is clearly seen and it's beautiful to see the entire university spread out before you. Summer is filled with greens and Fall, the most beautiful of all, sees blazing reds and fiery orange as far as the eye can see. One of my favorite things about this lookout is that everyone is very respectful. People aren't yelling or partying and everyone seems to be aware that it is a place for contemplation. Due to this experience the price should be lower may $75 instead of...

My dad also rented a big hall here for his 80th birthday. Great facility. The kindest staff. Nothing is state of the art but I'd prefer clean and kind to automatic toilets....
