I work for a leadership development company, and we just hosted our second retreat at Mount Sequoyah. We highly recommend this location to anyone considering hosting an event in Northwest Arkansas for the reasons detailed below. First, the location is breathtaking. Located above downtown Fayetteville, there are a wealth of beautiful trees, great views, and scenic locations. You can see just a few of those in the photo's for this review. Second, I want to talk about the staff. Rebecca Liles was our main contact, and she has been nothing but friendly and responsive. We had several issues crop up here and there and she jumped on any opportunities to do what she could. We also utilized the kitchen staff, and this is another huge differentiator for Mount Sequoyah in our minds. The food is absolutely top notch. We had participants comparing it to the experience of being on a cruise. We had several participants with very specific food restrictions and the Chef and her team did everything they could to accommodate them which was much appreciated. The main buildings themselves are very historical and interesting, each offering their own strengths and weaknesses. Some of them are outdated, but it is obvious how much effort is being put into updating everything to be as comfortable as possible. Parker Hall, Millar Lodge, and Yancey Lodge were our favorite settings offering a range of experiences from intimate to spacious. The rooms and cabins on site have been recently redone, and offer very comfortable spaces. There were small issues with WIFI in the rooms, and trouble with TV's working properly. But our participants were there to escape some of the hustle and bustle of the outside world, so this did not create any major disruptions for us. All in all, we have loved our experiences with Mount Sequoyah and look forward to more in the future.

My husband and I got married in the chapel and had our reception in Bailey. Not only was the event space amazing but the staff helped make our wedding perfect. They worked with me to create my dream wedding. We both had a place to get ready and hangout before the wedding. We reserved a wedding block and all of our family stayed on the mountain. It was nice to have everyone in a close space. We had breakfast for our family and friends in the dinning hall the morning after the wedding. Everyone loved getting to get back together for a meal before they left town. We also had the dinning hall cater our wedding. They made two wonderful types of pasta and served it for us in Bailey. They also made appetizers for guests to enjoy while we were taking pictures after our wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in a beautiful part of Fayetteville and have everything in one place.

I attended an event here and enjoyed everything. The dining hall could use an extra bathroom, but it was beautiful. We walked around afterwards, there are nice herbs in pots, random monds of rocks with semi sculpture like appearance, a cute art exhibit and gift shop and an amazing overlook on the west side with a cross and a view of the center of the city of Fayetteville.

This past weekend at Mount Sequoyah was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and supported, creating a space where our group could focus on connection and fun without a single worry about logistics.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful, peaceful walking paths, stunning overlooks of Fayetteville, and cozy gathering spaces that made our retreat feel both restorative and energizing. Our lodging was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our group’s needs.

What really stood out, though, was the way Mount Sequoyah feels like more than just a venue. It’s a community hub that embraces events like ours with genuine hospitality. We hosted programming across different spaces, and every room was set up just right. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.

If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, flexible facilities, and a staff that truly cares, Mount Sequoyah is it. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already excited...
