Out of all the places on the Delaware Beaches coastline, it’s safe to say that this is my favorite spot hands-down! An extremely scenic beach where you can see the inlet and the beach on the other side of the inlet. Additionally, there are modern amenities such as restrooms and tasty food at a concession stand.
The cost to park at the beach/state park is $5 for DE-registered vehicles and $10 for vehicles registered outside of DE (ex. PA, MD, NJ, NY, etc.) unless the vehicle has a parking permit for the state parks (free parking in those cases). Now it is full of blacktop roadway chunks, rusty rebar, and other assorted debris. The sand is black - prly from the blacktop components. Our group didnt know what the boys were doing, but the lifeguards instantly blew their whistles and about 5 of them went in to help the 2 boys, while 1 or 2 stayed on shore.
