Delaware Seashore - South Inlet Big Chill Beach Club — Restaurant in Fenwick Island

It’s a beach bar in a great location

We pass through the area most years and this time decided to check out the Big Chill. Located at Delaware seashore State Park the elevated restaurant/bar has commanding views of the ocean, inlet and bridge.

There are multiple seating options here. The bar, there’s tables out on the deck outside the bar and then there’s an open air covered dining area that would provide some cover from the rain it happened. And the ground level, there’s bathrooms, fire pit area, and a place to play cornhole.

We sat at one of the high tops in the round bar area upstairs with a view of the bridge. Riley our server was cordial and prompt.

Table spacing throughout is good. The seating is somewhat comfortable and the music was not so overbearing that we couldn’t have a conversation.

We ordered the Painkilla and Grapefruit Smash for drinks. Crab dip with tortilla chips for an appetizer. Everything tasted good.

The atmosphere is great. Is situated in a Delaware seashore state park. There are multiple outdoor dining areas and bars, on multiple floors,surrounded by water view He had a very cheerful friendly server It was very good. Five of us were here for drinks and appetizers. Man the nachos, someone else said calamari and another had coconut shrimp. Two others got the macaroni and cheese. Macaroni and cheese had no flavor and they were disappointed. The rest of us enjoyed what we had and thought it was from good to very good. The cocktails were good, the neer was cold and it was a watm sunny day. The place was crowded, bustling, and everybody there seemed to be enjoying themselves. There's plenty of parking but you have to pay to enter because the restaurant is inside...

I come here sometimes for the view and because it’s close to the beach house I stay at. Usually sit by the outdoor bar with view of ocean and order something different every time (because whatever I get is never good lol). Came here today and was told that this bar was closed and that I could only sit in the crowded enclosed bar in the middle of the deck with no ocean view or water view. When I complained they offered small table facing parking lot. To be clear, I don’t come here for the food… food is overpriced and never very good. Decided to leave and go somewhere else instead.
