Parking is GREAT!! 2 minutes walking time from car to beach! Clean beach and refreshing even during Covid. Masks are optional. We wore them from the car to the spot we chose to put our blankets down. Last year, one of the beaches was raft/surfboard free and this was the beach that they were allowed. This year we went on the beach on the other side and were allowed to have rafts. There were all kinds of umbrellas and other items used for shade. I know that some beaches have rules for umbrella sizing and types but this wasn’t the case here. Read moreNorth side of the bridge. Dog friendly beach. It’s just public access sand and water. Don’t expect a boardwalk, etc. I liked the sand and the waves. Lots of people on surf boards and buggy boards. East coast version of catching waves. (Short lived waves.) No lifeguards. If you’re looking for a little surfing or a dog friendly beach, this is a great spot. Parking is in the first lot you come to. The rest of the parking areas are for RVs, campers, and boats. There were three large port-a-potties, a park staff person, and maybe a beach equipment...
Read moreNever found any myself, but they supposedly wash up from the faithfully steward that wrecked just off the beach there that was carrying barrels of coins before we had established out own mints of our own, supposedly the have been defaced, before they were shipped because we were still considered the enemy of great Britain from the war, the only way to get to the largest port of Philadelphia was up and down the chesapeke, the ship wrecked just off the coast.
