I have taken my time before leaving this review, because I did not want to do it while my blood was boiling from dealing with this place (the owner). First off, the one star review is too high of a rating, I wish the option to leave -0 or 0 was available, as that would be more fitting for this place. I went to imagine that looking for a place for my 4 yr old birthday party, right away the dirty appearance of the entrance gave me a bad impression of the place, however, I continued with my party plans because a) my kid did seem to have fun in the place, and b) I was desperate as there was no other place available for the month of December. I made my comment on how dirty the entrance looked to the woman at the front desk (who later found out was the owner - bonkers), and my comment was received with complete resistance, but still as the desperate mom I was, continued with the party plans. A week before the party, and concerned by the many other reviews on the lack of hygiene of the place, I put my order for the party and insisted on how dirty the place looks when you walk in and that for their own benefit they should remediate, it was not more than 5 minutes that the front desk woman called me... comments like "I am annoyed", "I don't need to hear your comment on my place again", "you are not entitle to your opinion", "I don't care", and lastly "I will cancel your kids party" were the kinds of comments coming from Cheryl, front desk and owner of this place (just so whoever reads this is aware). I had to hung up due to how angering this conversation was, I could not believe this was happening while organizing my 4 yr old party. She kept calling of course, because I guess she had more venom to spell out, as me and my husband later found out, part of her MO is insult you on the phone, and never put anything on writing, her emails would have a different tone two minutes after dragging you on the phone (I want to say she is bipolar, but I think this woman knows what she is doing). The dirty appearance is a BIG issue when it comes to a place our kids will spend time in, BUT, the absolute rude, nasty, and unprofessional way the owner handles her business is the total killer. You would want to think this is a one-off experience, but then you read their reviews (in all platforms) and you will see this is her MO every time. I am amazed how this business is still running, why are not more parents raising issues with the hygiene of this place? at which point of course, you will deal with the thug owner/front desk. If you value your time, sanity, and cleanliness, you will STEER CLEAR from this place. Imagine that says they are a children's museum, I have no idea what base that statement on... maybe the dated toys? the moldy paints? the dirty old carpet? and then, put on top dealing with a person who is clearly not fit to run a business in the service industry, much less, a kids business... That is all I have to say about them, now, I am going to wait for the thug to try to...
Read moreFirst visit, my child was invited to a birthday party at this location.
I almost thought I was lost getting there as this place is deep in a corporate office park, near no other retail shops.
It’s a cool place for younger kids, mine is 5. There’s lots of space to run around and free explore. Quite a few unique learn/play activities.
At the entry you are welcomed by the front desk attendant who check you into the birthday party group your visiting, there are multiple party rooms. If you bring a gift you will be directed to these small open top train cars with the birthday child name written in chalk in the side, you can leave the gifts in the train car.
In this area there is a small toy store with small toys for sale, I guess you could buy a last minute gift in case you forgot to bring one they have gift bags as well.
Next area is a seating area next to the snack/food bar with plant based options and coffee. After that you enter in to main play section and the party rooms.
The party room we were invited to has an attendant who serves the food and drinks, and cuts and serves the cake (brought in by the host) the food was provided by the venue as part of the party room package.
It was nice, they setup tables and chairs for the adults food and drink is served, pizza and soda, the kids are served on kids tables and chairs also pizza and soda or juice.
The room use is timed, announcements are made over the PA stating the birthday room is ready for the child, you eat and drink first, kids go back to playing, then 30mins later another announcement to come back to the party room to sing happy birthday and cut the cake, cake is served, once finished the attendant packs up the cake to go home.
After that the kids are free to play until the parents want to go home. You can sit in the seating area if you wish.
Just note that the play areas are not watched by any staff, parents must watch there own children, your free to walk around with your children or keep a watchful distance if...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a children’s play space that truly stands out, Imagine That in Florham Park is a must-visit. I’ve been to over 20 different play places across New Jersey, and I can confidently say this is one of the best experiences we’ve had — especially when it comes to food options. They offer a wide variety of meals to accommodate different diets, making it a refreshing change from the usual limited selections at most children’s facilities.
What really makes Imagine That special is how much there is to do. With a packed calendar of events, rotating characters, and creative activities, you’ll never get bored here. Every visit can be a brand-new experience. Plus, the facility is huge — over 16,000 square feet — so your child can explore and stay entertained for hours without ever feeling cramped.
One of my favorite parts? Unlike most places that limit you to 90 minutes, at Imagine That you can stay all day if you want. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re looking to spend quality time together or need to catch up on remote work. With just one entrance and exit, it’s safe and easy to relax while your kids play, knowing they can’t wander off unnoticed.
Another standout feature is how creative the space is. Not only do they have tons of physical activities, but also art areas where kids can paint, do crafts, and actually bring something home — a wonderful way to break up all the movement and excitement.
If you’re thinking about a birthday party, Imagine That is an amazing venue. They work with a custom executive chef to design menus that go way beyond the typical pizza and salad combo, ensuring both kids and adults have something they’ll enjoy. It makes parties here feel extra special.
Lastly, the owner, Cheryl, is one of the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet. She’s always on-site making sure guests are happy and having a great time. You can truly feel how much love and care she puts into the experience — something that really sets...
