First time in Naples for us, and this was a GEM!! Our 3 yr old had a wonderful time, explored, played and learned. The limited-time Harley-Davidson engineering lab was a total hit! He loves the water works & outdoor maze(we hit those first when we first arrived at opening), then the toddler-only area. He loves trains so we saved the trolley for the end. We spent a solid 3 hours there and still didn’t get to explore everything. It’s excellent to know for years to come when we visit Naples we have a place “just for him” to explore and learn.
The farm-to-store section was great, but many parents aren’t monitoring their kids. Issue with this is a lot of older children were holding onto carts for 15-20 minutes instead of moving on. Same children were throwing items where they didn’t belong and not taking turns, did not see any of the C’mon representatives nearby & we encourage our children to take turns and allow other children to use items and return them where they belong. It was a shame most parents were on their phone and not monitoring or mentoring their child.
We were able to find a coupon in one of the local papers for an adult and child admission. We did go on a Sunday, and as I said he enjoyed exploring and interacting with everything, we didn’t get to explore the library or the veterinary center or the World Market. As he gets older the various sections will become more enjoyable. They also host various Science themed fundraisers, I noticed. And the nursing area for breastfeeding mothers (in the toddler area), made this former breastfeeding mother happy.
Only improvements I’d wish to see: more options at the refreshment center(I do not know if it’s different on the weekdays as we were there on a Sunday,) but there were no lunch foods available. Only snacks. Smaller toilets in the bathrooms! “Children-sized toilets” for a Children’s museum would be awesome for my newly potty trained guy. And for C’mon representatives to monitor and encourage fairness, taking turns and implore parents to assist and teach those skills.
We can not wait to make more memories at C’mon in the future. We really were amazed with the...
Read moreI have always had the best time at this museum; kids absolutely love it however I came in contact with a EXTREMELY NEGATIVE worker there today whose obvious intent was to embarrass me/us. My kids and I were having a nice lunch. I had finished my awesome salad, that I purchased from the museum, my 1 yr old was eating a mozzarella cheese stick and my son was eating two heart shaped PB&J sandwich bites that we brought from home along with popcorn and a diet coke (moms). Anyway, a rude worker came up to our table and said, "Oh no! You are not allowed to have outside food or drinks in the museum." She continued to rant loudly because my son had 2 small PB&J bites (about half a sandwich). My son does not like the food or chips offered at the museum however we always buy everyone else's food and him a mozzarella cheese stick and drink so I was quite surprised about the rudeness of this loudspeaking redheaded employee. We have been to this museum about 50 times and I have NEVER experienced a problem with anyone. I have even sat at the first table and no one says anything and honestly I thought since I do purchase food and drinks bringing his sandwich and popcorn to munch on was no big deal. I'm guessing she made a fool of herself because there were a few other moms that also had sippy cups and snacks for their 1-2 yr olds. I was going to go to the manager but decided I was not going to cut in on my kids last half hour of fun because this lady is having a bad day. Our second year of membership is about to expire. I will definitely have to reconsider renewing if this is the type of behavior allowed at a kids museum. I am still very shocked. Why she decided to speak loudly about what my son was eating is beyond me. He kept asking me if he was allowed to eat his sandwichs. Ridiculous! I'll tell you this, I definitely do not plan on buying anymore food from them and the next time I see her fake smile I'll be getting her name and reporting her to management. There's a right way and a wrong way to do things. She should know better!!...
Read moreIt's cool, but in no planet can I understand why they would charge adults. 20 bucks is already kind of expensive but it's doable, but when you're paying for an adult to just stand there and watch a child, it's pretty insane… So for two people, it would be like 40 bucks. Imagine if you had multiple children… The only way that I could ever visit this place is because I get ebt so I get a discount. Otherwise the price is insane specially bcuz they charge for adults. I can understand if there was anything that was even gear for adults but it's not it's like what are we paying for $20 to use the bathroom so we should get half price or something.. it's just weird that the adults have to pay for all of the supplies like the art supplies and everything like that when they are not using them. It also really pisses me off that the discount doesn't apply to Lee County residents it feels purposely exclusionary … Like we are literally 10 miles away and you know there is no other children's museum in swfl, so It also really Should be offered to us. we are literally 10 miles away and you know there is no other children's museum in southwest Florida,. I am assuming this is because of greed , or they probably don't want middle class Lee county people. I am assuming that the owners are filthy, filthy, rich and can probably afford to keep the place cleaner and running better… Also, one of the exhibits had a real screwdriver… I left it at the front desk with a note… I was obviously thinking that it was an accident left behind by a mechanic, but then I realized they probably don't ever have mechanics fixing things there lol and then it was actually for a Children’s exhibit . … You're lucky that I actually watched my child unlike most of the people that I...
