Intracoastal Waterway Park — Attraction in Florida

I've been coming here since the early eighties and seen it go from a barren dirt lot with the remnants of a bridge to fish on to a new park with a "fishing pier" to the run down spot it is now. Honestly, it was better before trying to make it a nice park. Sadly, the fishing has gone drastically downhill in the decades I've fished here. We used to catch trout and drum every friday night. These days, I am happy to get a ladyfish rather than another...

Its a great place to fish especially with docs bait shop on the way there and u never know what your going to see; dolphin, herd of stingrays,etc. Variety of fish to be caught; snappers, loads n loads of puffer fish diffrent type, perch, mullet if ur cast netting, jack, trout, drum, of course catfish but im sure theres more. There is only 2 things that grind my damn gears with this place which is people who leave trash and the damn peir...

Liked this place. Definitely different and cool. Unfortunately there's almost no shaded spots to fish from at all. Total to actually fish maybe 3-4 individual spots. The rest under this Florida sun so of course fishing not so good during the day not sure about everything. But...
