Kelly Park West — Attraction in Florida

I take my dog there every once in awhile, I really like the walking trails that were put in. Years ago (15) it was just bushes and dirt but it is always a nice park to go to. Great for kid parties and different sports. My kids used to play basketball there and use the tennis courts. They keep it nice and clean it's well maintained one of the nicer parks in the area. It has bathrooms, tennis courts, basketball, large field areas for football, soccer and other sports. A covered picnic area is off to the side nearer the bathrooms and there are walking paths around the park as well as through the wooded area. It a great park to take a walk in for some peace and quiet. On the east side pretty much the same accouterments except that's where you take your boat. There's plenty of spaces for car & trailer and an area to swim. So either side of Kelly park has something wonder to offer,...

It’s a great little park on the island right off the water: tennis and basketball courts with lights for public use. There are also nice soccer fields with lighting. Restroom facilities at both ends of the park and a lovely paved walkway all around the park perimeter. The park has a large covered area with picnic tables and a playground for children. There is ample parking with two parking lots and overflow parking in the grass by the tennis courts when needed. A boardwalk over the water enters the Park from a side street and is an excellent wildlife...

There aren't enough big, open, unspoiled spaces like this. There are also facilities for tennis, basketball, soccer/football, a naturally shaded playground, a huge walking/jogging path, a little pier overlooking the marsh, and more recently a nice nature trail/boardwalk was added.
