Was nice. Not crowded. Looks like they are just developing it into a park. No real beach....it looks like an old boat launch and dock with a jetty surrounded. They have ladders to help get in and out of the water and the water is fairly deep. The outlet to the bay area is roped off. A manatee came in while we were there. Kids swimming were thrilled to see the manatee. There are picnic tables which are new looking but there's not many. Bathroom was porta-potties but clean for the.mostpart. There is sand, so you can peg-down a canopy. Parking isn't huge but adequate and looks like they just renovated the parking lot. Dogs are welcome and many people had them there. We didn't bring ours but will next time. The grassy area is huge and wide open. Honestly the land has huge potential for being a better park. Permanent bathroom, covered areas and a dock would be nice to see...

Actually a very nice, public and (during opening hours) freely accessible park with a large meadow, sanitary facilities and a small section of beach.

Unfortunately, many dog owners mistake the lawn for a toilet for their four-legged friends, which makes it a bit of a gamble to spread out your picnic blanket here. When we were there an hour before sunset, there were also groups in a party mood with ghetto blasters, who didn't want to show any consideration for the other visitors to the park, even when asked nicely.

It is a great pity that such a beautiful place is so disgusted by a few ignorant people for the general public.
