The kayaking from Nokomis Park can be a bit rough, but the island is a great spot to stop and get out and swim. Boat traffic isn't bad and the water is deep enough to wade in and cool off...

This place was a wonderful place to go to, until they got rid of All of the trees. Very sad what they did to this once nice, shady island. You can see the before and after pictures. What a Shame!!!!!
