GameStop — Attraction in Florissant

I’ve tried to patronize this business three days in a row!

I drove to their location on Sunday (December 10, 2023) afternoon they had not opened yet. I arrived shortly after 11am and they were closed. Although, the sign on their window said they opened at 11am (I later did notice on google that the hours say 12pm). I tried to go the following Monday (December 11, 2023). Got there at 12:15PM they were closed with a handwritten sign on the window that said “Opening late due to systems being down”. Understandable, I called several hours later and they were still not open. Tried to go today (December 12, 2023). I got there at 6:50pm, and they were closed, with the gate even being down. Checking the sign on the window it says they aren’t suppose to close till 9PM (google even said the same thing). So I’ve determined that either their hours are completely wrong on google and in the door. Or, the staff at this location don’t care to follow the hours they elected to be open. I will not try to patronize this...

First, let me say that I don’t think the employees need to be fired or anything, but they definitely need to work on their attitude. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt an attitude when I asked how old you had to be to work there cause I was wondering for my brother. Grown men in their 30s acting mad about that question by the way. To me this is a teenagers job or a young man. Don’t be mad at me cause you hate your job. Get a big boy job instead. Also they were working with a guy for 20 minutes, instead of saying hey can I check these guys out real quick why you look? No, none of that. They just didn’t give a crap. I’ll never be back here again. Sad thing was I was looking to spend about $600 and they had no idea and an attitude problem cause I was looking at a used controller lol I’m just smart. Great staff which is important for a gamestop. I've frequented many gamestops over the years and you occasionally get a staff member that is either too much with their own personal views on genres or upselling. I'm sure the upsell is apart of the business model, but it's all in the approach that takes a location from 3 or 4 stars to a 5 star review. A lot of the staff have been there a while so they must be doing something right to retain employees. Never too pushy, always friendly and knowledgeable. The redhead manager in particular who has been there awhile is always a joy to converse with. They do an excellent job organizing prior night releases and getting through the line quickly.
