On 3/3/25 @ 4:29pm ordered dinner for the family.. order #3128, gave my name for the order. (2) 15 piece combos. Since the restaurant is new to St Louis County, I expected a long wait... approximately 30 mins later my name was called. As I walked to the counter to get my food with receipt in hand the young man, who may have been a line manager, looked at me as if i were lying about the name he called asked to see my receipt. I complied with his request, however was wondering why he hadn't asked to see anyone else's receipt. As I observed him handing out a few orders prior to my order. Then he looks at my receipt and say I had to make sure. Then I gave him a concerned look to express my displeasure with the statement he just made to me. He then said it again, "I had to make sure." In my mind, I was saying I know he's not insinuating that I'm tempting to steal someone's order. Then I looked at my receipt and then the receipt on the bag at which time he said yeah, yeah make sure everything is in there. Confused by his words, and after observing him putting the food in the bag, and checking the receipt stapled to the bag. I was totally offended, after paying $50.00 for food with my credit card. I watch this guy for about 30 mins, talk aggressive to one of the cooks, use casual profanity talking with a cashier. Expressing himself aloud about his lack of care of employee incidents. I wanted to speak to a manger that I saw who appeared to try to get the kitchen staff running smooth due to being overwhelmed with a lot of window tickets, but I decided to leave, because pulling the manager from the kitchen would have caused a bigger delay to customers who were waiting after me. As a result I'm 50/50 on revisiting that establishment again. But if I do and he or the head manager is there. I'm going to address the customer service issue and how Lotawata Creek is a place me and my family has visited for years in Fairview Heights and have always received great hospitality. Owners, I'm concerned about your future if you don't address that hospitality and professionalism, you have a brand. I think you should start a retraining or weed out the employees that are hurting your brand. Lastly, the food is great as expected, however that particular manager needs some retraining or find another position within your company, because front line in the public eye is going to damage your...
Read moreWow, this was a wonderful experience for us. 1st time trying, and we couldn't be happier. We ordered online. The application was very easy to use. We were able to set up an account while in the checkout phase, and there were no problems during the transition from the account set up to payment. When we arrived, we were able to get an online order spot pretty quickly. There are instructions on the sign on where to go to pick up your food. We messaged through the text message that we were here, and they responded to pick up at the walk-up window. You will need the last 3 numbers from your order to retrieve your food. Employees were very pleasant/ friendly. The establishment was very busy when we arrived if that was not a tell of how good the food was. Now for this food. Let me tell ya, very flavorful! The tenders are very good. We got the Nashville Hot. Super yummy and paired very well with the honey mustard and spicy ranch. We also got the Nashty boneless wings, and the employees were awesome to put the sauce and seasoning on the side to not make them wings soggy. These wings were definitely a good choice. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich and added the coleslaw to it. We also got the gotcha sauce to top it off. Let's just say perfect. The coleslaw is on point. The chicken breast was huge and very flavorful topped off with pepperjack cheese. We also got the stuffed mushrooms! It was a very yummy pairing with the spicy ranch. We decided to get the Dirty Shack Fries! Talking about flavor explosion. Chunks of chicken, pickles, Mac n cheese over fries. Just wow! I can't wait to try tye Mac n cheese as a side. To wrap this up, we also got some fried rolls with honey butter. It was a nice end to this wonderful buffet we made ourselves. We will have leftovers for days, but we are extremely happy with our...
Read moreFirst visit, never been to original restaurant. Placed my order via their online portal at 5:56 pm on a Monday evening, because I didn’t want to wait in line. My pick up time was 6:50 which I thought was a long time for two, 3 chicken strip combo meals and stuffed mushrooms. But it’s a new restaurant at dinner time so I didn’t think much of it. Arrived at my pick up time. Signs in parking lot say they’ll text you when order is ready but I didn’t trust that & went in (never received a text so disregard those signs). The place was full but everyone seated inside was waiting for food. I asked about my online order & they told me it wasn’t ready. After 15 more minutes and everyone seated was leaving with their food, I asked again. After much confusion I was told online orders weren’t showing up on the screens in the kitchen, so they hadn’t even started making the order I placed over an hour earlier! 90 minutes after placing my order I walked out with my food, after double checking everything, as they’d left out a few items. No apologies for their mistake or rush to make my order. Strips were bland, fries were good, rolls were the best thing. I’d probably try them again just for the rolls, but it won’t be anytime soon. They must improve their service and online...
