A great place to go and watch a sunset or all the boats out on the water. You do have four flights of steps to get to the top. The steps have a few narrow spots as they curve, but they are actually pretty decent overall. My daughter-in-law, on the way down, had me go in front of her so if I fell I wouldn't take her down with me. The Fond du Lac Lighthouse and surrounding park is one of the true hidden gems of the State of Wisconsin.. There are many flower arrangements and nice walking paths for which to enjoy them. There are many sidewalks to enjoy views of Lake Winnebago also. You can sit in your car by the Lighthouse and have a peaceful lake view also . The view from the Lighthouse is wonderful 🌅... This is what our town is known for. The Lighthouse is often depicted with our city, as Fond du Lac means "foot of the lake". It has a sentimental value to the community, while also offering a stunning view of our precious brown Lake Winnebago!
