How can you NOT visit a dairy shrine when you're nearby? I noticed it on the map and my friend and I drove there from Madison, where I'm vacationing. It was so interesting! There's a fascinating collection of old dairy-farming implements downstairs. A timeline of important milestones in the history of dairy farming surrounds the walls of another room that has dioramas showing scenes from old farms.

Read moreHeart of the City did a great job of inviting vendors that are interested in environmental ecology in surrounding communities. Tables set up with different information on their individual interests to share with the public. There was a live presentation demonstrating the benefits of electric lawn mowers, raffles, and a video shared by a teacher from Purdy school who was very much involved in sharing with her students the joy in helping take care of our Mother Earth. Person did not know about other exhibits, and we were told to just "wander around" and check for ourselves when we asked. Very nice Native American Exhibit and Mound-builders Video, along with superb arrowhead collection. Abraham Lincoln Room also very nice and worth a visit.
