We made reservations for 10 to celebrate my sister in law's 60th birthday party. We surprised her with her sister from FL and when she walked in we were all so excited for her. It was 10 women, and we were talking and giggling really enjoying our time together. The owner came out and said, "I am happy your all have a good time, but can you please keep it down and respect the others eating around us." There were 2 other tables in the restaurant. One table of 2 and one table of 4. We ordered 2 bottles of wine at this time, so we decided to drink them up and leave. We all felt uncomfortable talking anymore as we would get talking and then feel we might get talked to again, because how do you keep 10 women from not getting a little loud when taking amongst each other. We explained this to our very nice server and gave him a nice tip as we know this would have been a big day for him that he lost. The owner once again came out before we left and was very rude stating "I’m sure some of you have been here before and know this is a very intimate dinning experience so we should have known what to expect when we came in." For one: Nobody but myself has been there before and I was not in charge of this gathering planning. 2: If they want no talking amongst a large group, they should only take reservations for tables up to 4 maybe or only reservations of 2. We were not drunk, loud, out of control kids. You see I said we were celebrating a 60th birthday party. The youngest in the group was 58. I know they have good food but its NOT a place for a large group and my advice to the owner: STOP TAKING LARGE GROUP RESERVATIONS, so you don’t have to make your customers feel like unruly kids! We ended up down the road at Brocks Riverwalk had an amazing table next to the window. We had great service, food and drinks and talked and laughed without any problems for hours. $$$$$ Your loss Mangiami! Will NEVER step foot into your...

Got to order our food at 5:20 didn't get our calamari app till 6:05, very bland but we ate it cus we were so hungry. Got our cup of soup 10 mins later along with some bread but no butter, nothing special, soup did not meet the description. Finally got our food at 6:30 and mine was decent but my husband hated his, had scallops, shrimp and mussels and the scallops tasted raw and fishy. Server apologized for the slow service cus the only other server went home sick, even tho there were only 4 other tables throughout the night. I can't believe it takes an hour and a half to serve one table of 2. The kitchen is beyond slow and not up to par with the outrageous prices. Entrees do not come with soup or salad, you have to pay for that too. Bread doesn't come until your food comes instead of being on the table to begin with. Paid over $80 to spend almost 2 hours for not great food and freezing by the door. Unfortunately we not be back even tho if they sped up service and didn't charge so much they...
Read moreMangiami Italiano is easily my and my husband's favorite restaurant. Our daughters are absolutely obsessed with the food, too. Sam is an INCREDIBLE server and Eric is a phenomenal chef. Both of them really care about your entire experience. Sam is always right there to ensure we are taken care of and have everything we need; he's extremely attentive and just super nice. Truly, the service is second to none. Eric stops by to make sure we enjoyed our meals (which are honestly always perfect) and always takes the time to actually personally say hello. My husband and I come here a lot and not once have we left disappointed. There is not a meal that we haven't enjoyed or an experience that left us wishing for more. Love that it's by reservation only and often has small(er) groups in attendance; when life generally feels hectic and busy and loud, it's a welcomed treat to have calm and quiet. We feel extremely lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant pretty local to us (though we'd for sure drive a reasonable distance to enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere even if they moved- which they absolutely should not do, ever). At least a hundred stars outta...
