Cool local museum. Dairy was not my focus but the rest of the stuff was great. Fyi, don't overlook the small sign that says if you actually want to look at the multimedia presentations you have to ask the staff to start them. My favorite part of this museum was the video on first nations mound building , the house museum and learning about local poet lorine Niedecker whom I had never heard of. Least favorite was all the dead stuffed things that needed a modern interpretation of what they were, who collected them and why, how we might do this type of display today to avoid all the apparent carnage, and what value they have to our modern knowledge of conservation and biology. The volunteer staff was outstanding in directing us as to what the museum all entailed and there was so much! SO well displayed. Two libraries for research in everything ABE Lincoln and on the Dairy industry Plus I had no idea their achieves were so plentiful on the people in Fort Atkinson.
