Two weeks ago, I booked a spa day at Evara Beach Spa for my husband’s birthday, hoping to give him a relaxing and luxurious experience. Unfortunately, it was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived 10 minutes early and were greeted at the front desk, where we declined a glass of champagne in order to be on time for our massage. We were told we could ask for it afterward. After changing, we waited to be escorted to our massage rooms. While the massage therapist was friendly, the Deep Ocean massage I booked (described as a deep tissue lymphatic drainage massage) was not deep tissue. I repeatedly asked for more pressure, but only half of my massage was done with proper technique. The other half felt more like a light Swedish massage, which I didn’t request. At one point, the therapist even tried to upsell me on a longer massage instead of simply delivering the service I had already paid for. To make matters worse, a fire drill was happening in the building during the first 15 minutes of our massage. It was loud, disruptive, and completely ruined the relaxation aspect. This could have been scheduled outside of client hours. After the massage, I requested the champagne we were initially offered. I overheard an attendant question if it was our second glass, which was unnecessary and off-putting. The spa amenities were nice, but felt overly supervised, and the steam room wasn’t warm during the first cycle and had to be manually turned on. The worst part came when I tried to pay using a wedding gift card a friend gave us. A different front desk attendant told me the card had already been used, which was impossible—I had never been to the spa before. Instead of investigating further or offering a solution, she accused my friend of using it and said nothing could be done. When I asked to speak with the manager, he was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen to my concerns. He refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the poor service we received. He told me nothing can be done and that he can't stop my friend from using my gift card. Which I asked him how that was even possible as I had the gift card print out. THE PLACE IS A SCAM!! They don't store the information to your account and sell gift cards that cannot even be used.
As someone who has managed customer-facing teams, I was shocked by the lack of empathy and professionalism. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or salvage our experience, the staff simply pushed us out the door. I gave them my credit card and asked them to cash me out and told them I will not return and do not recommend this spa. They clearly prioritize transaction over customer care.
If you just want to go for the gram, proceed with caution. The experience is...

Most of the staff are downright rude and dismissive. Upon entering, we were offered a complimentary prosecco. With only 10 minutes prior to our massages, we told them we'd take it after the massage and they agreed. However, when we asked for it after the massage they said "you can't have 2 - you only get one." To which my wife reminded them we declined earlier. They wanted to argue with us rather than hear us out.
There wasn't any water in the men's locker room. There are literally signs everywhere saying how you need to hydrate when using the steam and sauna, not to mention you naturally dehydrate post massage. Not a self serve station to find, zero water bottles - NOTHING. The steam room is piping hot (which I loved) but you can't possibly enter it without water. I asked the attendant where I could get water and he said he'd get me one. He came back with a 5 ounce cup which I slammed in seconds.
After that I asked him why there wasn't any water anywhere to be found. He just continued to fold towels and ignore me so with the awkward silence I said "just some friendly feedback, you have a very nice steam room and sauna but you can't send people in there post massage without any water - it's dangerous." He said "noted" and walked away. I've never been to a spa without water and couldn't use the facilities without water.
Lastly, my wife was given a gift card by a friend. She went to use it and was told it was already used. She just got it! She phoned her friend to ask if she made a mistake and she said "no, I just got that for you - of course I didn't use it."
They wouldn't budge and insisted it was a bad card. My wife asked for a manager and they told her they had no power to make any decisions. Excuse me? What does a manager do then, exactly?
Everything here was a huge let down. The place is a scam and there is no way they can be a legitimate business they way they operate and treat people. It's probably someone's write off or cash cleaning operation if I'm being honest. I've been to spa's all over the world and have never experienced such a horribly ran establishment. Don't waste...
Read moreI was really hoping to enjoy this spa as its 10 minutes from my home, but that was not the case. First and for-most the entire spa is brand new and looks beautiful. Very clean and modern. They greet you with a glass of prosecco so I thought we were headed for a great day at the spa but they do not have their liquore liscence and the complimentary glass is all they allow. They do not sell or serve any other alcohal or food. We were shocked, most of the spas we visit atleast have snacks and champagne. The mens side of the spa is nice and tranquil, it was not busy, but...the attendant was very awkward. He pretty much followed me around and stood in the center of the relaxation area the entire time or asked where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do untill I mentioned I was okay on my own...the steam room is amature to say the least. Small and not very steamy..I tried the salt room next and could literally feel the grains of salt in my mouth...not like any other salt room I had been too, terrible. later on closer to the time of my service I asked the attendant if the massage tables were heated because I run hot and Ive been to a lot of spas, most of which have heated tables. He assured me with 100% cetainty they do not have heated tables. I asked a second time because I know that spas typically do. He said no. The massage therapist comes to collect me for my deep tissue and low and behold the table is hot. I asked her to turn it off and she did but the table was still too warm for me so she recommended cold rocks which I said sounded perfect. So far i was hopefull the service would turn my day around... I was wrong. She started massaging my back and leg with no lotion or oil or sheet on my skin and started pulling at my leg hair. I recommended some lotion and she said alright and continued with oil. She had no pressure what so ever so I asked if she can go deeper and she blamed it on the oils...so she started a different technique which involved digging her nail into my back at which point I simply said I think im finished with the session, thanks. This was 15 minutes or so in..this spa is new. I would avoid until they have better staff and a menu...
