This place was just what we were looking for. There were restrooms, a few picnic tables in the shade, a shower to wash the beautiful white sugar sand off, and parking was easy and inexpensive. I used the app to pay for parking. It was $3 per hour and is easy to track on your phone. There were not a lot of parking stalls, but we were able to easily find one on a Monday morning. Short walk out to the beach and there was plenty of room to set up your beach gear. Waves are small in this area and the white sand is so soft. It brushes right off like it is just dust but still doesn't get everywhere. Read moreDecember 2024 update: Newton Park was washed away by hurricane Ian and a few other storm surges. Right now it is simply a flat area of sand. I have heard it will be completely rebuilt with new amenities, trees, picnic tables and parking. At this time it does provide easy access to the beach. Strandview Avenue crosses Estero Boulevard and provides some asphalt to access the beach. The beach is still beautiful.

Read moreNice beach with soft sand, great for building sand sculptures. Plenty of room to spread out and set up canopies. There are clean air conditioned bathrooms/changing rooms. Plenty of metered parking by kiosk or mobile app. Make sure you park in a marked spot and pay though or you WILL be ticketed ($35-50 ticket). There are no lifeguard stations, but there are beach patrols by jeep regularly. Great calm, warm waters. Family friendly, but great for all ages.
